In the 1960s, people didnt think about recycling. Technology was developing fast
and items were cheaper, so people didnt have them mended any more. They
threw them away and bought something new. People didnt need to look after the
things they had. Now the world has changed. We realise that weve harmed the
environment with new materials such as plastic. We know that we shouldnt use up
all our resources. Recycling has become so important that it represents the future
of our planet.
