he headline above does not suggest that we
think that Dr. Kennedy did OK, but we’re going
to do better. No. Actually, it was Dr. Kennedy
who believed that God’s best was yet to come, and
Dr. Kennedy anticipated seeing the next level of
spiritual multiplication.
I join him with a high level of anticipation and
say with great enthusiasm, the best is yet to come.
Do you believe it? I do.
During recent overseas travels, I saw some
of the fruit Dr. Kennedy hoped to see. For example,

2007, have already equipped 18,000 witnesses for
Christ. I talked to a pastor whose church went from
40 members to 7,000 in a short time. His reason? EE.
I hear negative talk today that people are not responsive to the Gospel. Unfortunately, this
leads some to believe that they shouldn’t witness. Witnessing is a matter of faith. True faith
always leads to action. The Bible says in Hebrews that faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen. True saving faith is not just a hope or a promise of something
that might or might not happen. It is full assurance. In the Book of Habakkuk it says that the just
shall live by faith.
Abraham left Ur by faith. Abraham was ready to sacrifice his son, Isaac, by faith. Rahab hid
Israelite spies by faith. Their actions flowed forth from their faith. True faith acts.
My point: EE was built on faith. We can trust God to do amazing things. We have an
opportunity to show the faith we have. We can determine to stand up, believe our calling, and
make evident the truth of our faith by what we do next.
EE is going and God’s Kingdom is growing. The baton has been passed. Let’s run this
race. Let’s share our faith. And believe.
God Bless,

1. It’s relational. Young people want genuineness in relationships. XEE incorporates a layer of
training that helps people to connect with others. Coaching is absolutely essential because this
is not something that comes naturally to people. The learning, the training, the entire process is
focused on connecting relationally.
2. It’s interactive. Today’s culture enjoys learning by participating in discussion and interaction
with each other.
3. It’s flexible. XEE gives churches options. When a pastor with a busy schedule has options, he
feels a sense of freedom. XEE better assists the church because, while it has structure, it has
flexibility and a pastor can better blend it in with what his church has ongoing.
4. It talks today’s language. People speak differently today. Our cell phone culture alone has
added words to our vernacular that, before, would have sent linguists over the edge; words such
as “texted” and “texting.” For XEE, it meant changing words common to “EE’ers” all over the
world. For example, the phrase “on-the-job training” became “connect activity.” XEE speaks
today’s language.

International banquet was held on Friday,
March 7. Close to 500 people packed the Coral
Ridge Presbyterian Church Kennedy Fellowship Hall.
The Kennedy Fellowship Hall was adorned in red to
celebrate the launching of EE’s new XEE ministry to
Gen X and Gen Y students; and the development of the
innovative Kids’ EE Cube.
It was announced at the banquet that the
Board of Directors appointed Dr. Sterling W. Huston as
Chairman of the Board, a position held by Dr. D. James
Kennedy for more than 40 years. The Board of Directors
also named Rev. John B. Sorensen as President. These
leadership changes were made necessary by the
passing of former EE President and Chairman of the
Board, Dr. D. James Kennedy, who died on
September 5, 2007.
John called it the best of times and the worst
of times. “It’s the best of times because Dr. Kennedy
always said that, in light of spreading the Gospel, the
best is yet to come.” He added, “Though, sadly, it’s the
worst of times because we have lost our captain.”
EE paid tribute to Anne Kennedy, wife of EE
Founder, Dr. D. James Kennedy, who was awarded
a gold EE question mark pin along with a rosewood
plaque commemorating her as EE’s “First Lady.” In
her honor, duplicate plaques will be displayed at the
D. James and Anne Kennedy International Training
Center for World Evangelism in Fiji and at the center in
Ukraine.
The banquet, an annual EE fundraising event,
raised nearly $200,000 for the EE ministry.

A Solution
A donor can retain ownership and use of
property during life and still benefit a charity by
leaving the property to the charity at death.
The Benefits
• Gift to Charity—charity receives cash
or property
• Estate Tax Deduction—
amount given to a charity is
not subject to federal
estate tax
• Preserves Lifetime Flexibility—
donor is able to use and control
property while alive
• Ensures a Legacy—donor
continues to support after
death those charities that were
meaningful during life
