For All Those Entrusted to Our Pastor
UPCOMING EVENTS:
SAINTS GOLF OUTING: MAY 7th: A great opportunity for
fun and fellowship for all, from the almost professional to the
novice. Our annual golf outing has something for everyone with
various events. There will be a 4 person team best shot event
along with a family / fun event for those that would like to come
out and enjoy a beautiful day with family and friends. The best
shot event will be 18 holes, while the family event will be 9
holes. See the flyers that will be up soon in the churches and on
our web site for details, and make plans to come out and join us
for a great day outdoors.
OCTOBER 29th DEACONATE ORDINATION IN LA
CROSSE:
Mark your calendars now and make plans if
you can to join us in La Crosse at the Cathedral of St Joseph the
Workman in October. God willing, Dr. Mark Grunewald will be
ordained to the deaconate, offering his life in service to the
Church in this special calling.
THANK YOU: As I am not at every Mass these days, and I
can have a tendency to forget at times even when I am there, I
would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all that made our
Easter celebrations and our First Communion celebration so
special. The music, especially from Palm Sunday through Holy
Week and Easter Sunday, was very good. I am not sure all are
aware that these things do not just happen. The evenings these
musicians and choirs give up in order to have these celebrations
is very much appreciated. Along with this is the time spent planning the liturgies, as the various processions and special liturgies
take time to prepare and practice for. There is always room for
more participants for those blessed with musical abilities; piano,
organ or voice, to join this ministry.
Our churches and grounds also are decorated very nicely. Thank you to all that had a hand in decorations; from placing
flowers to covering and uncovering the statues, removing, cleaning and replacing the Holy Water fonts during Holy Week, to all
the small details that often can go unnoticed, THANK YOU. I
do not wish to name names, as there are so many that the list
would be long and I do not wish to leave anyone off. Just know
that no matter how large or small a role you might have played,
you have been in my prayers and are appreciated. Also a huge
thank you to all who helped with the four funeral luncheons two
weeks ago and to all who made some outstanding desserts.
BURGERS AND FRIES AND RAFFLE: As they always are,
the Burgers and Fries was a great success. Thank you to all involved in putting this together; the mens club and their wives,
all the young people of the parish that worked so hard in serving
and cleaning up, to all those that donated to this event. We
would also like to thank those that worked to sell the raffle tickets to make this a special event for all. Congratulations to the
winners:

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE...Monday, April
18th...Noon until 6:00 pm at the National Guard
Armory.
To pray for those who are sick is a
spiritual work of mercy.
In this Jubilee of Mercy, on May 7th at the
Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, LaCrosse,
we will invoke the powerful intercession of
Saint Peregrine, Patron Saint of those who suffer from cancer and other serious illnesses.
The Celebration of Holy Mass begins at 12:15
pm. During the Mass, the Rite of Blessing of
the Sick with the First-class Relic of Saint Peregrine will be offered. There will also be an opportunity to venerate the Relic at the end of
Mass. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the
Sick will be offered after the conclusion of
Mass for those who are suffering from cancer
or other serious illnesses.
