Background
The project Roads of Malaysia is fully manage by Joseph Lim, Im currently station in
Kampar, Perak to pursue my degree of Business Administration as an Entrepreneur in UTAR
Kampar Campus. I was hail from Perak as well. I am an aspiring photographer with the dream
and passion to achieve before I am formally introduce to the business world.
Roads of Malaysia origins from the will and dream of my childhood memory. This project is
created with the concept to travel all around Malaysia like a backpacker but with a twist of taste
of capturing the beautiful scenery of the nature as well as the modern art of machinery. The
project itself was officially created during January 2016 and the project was place on Indiegogo
crowdfunding platform once. Unfortunately the project did not manage to achieve the require
amount of funding before the period ends. Through the project analysis, some essential data was
able to be collected and make improvement to promote the project.
The project Roads of Malaysia was generated purely from my pass experience encounter with
all the motorcyclist that I met throughout my travel to different places. Those motorcyclist
(Uncles) are so friendly and gladly to share their lifetime experience and giving advisory to me.
The atmosphere of a rider family was felt and imagination ran wilds when they explain in details
during our meet ups.
Nevertheless, this project can provided an insight of the unimaginable possibility in the family of
bikers. Where the connection between bikers to riders are strong beyond words can comprehend
which the endless flow of information can be transfer nationwide or perhaps globally.
Live While Youre Young was once said by my relative before they pass away and has become
the slogan for the project to encourage other to reach for their dream and live their life to the
fullest.

The project Roads of Malaysia is a project that based on the concept that focus gaining
experience through different journey and expanding the network of the project. A social platform
will be created in Facebook and Instagram to promote the flow of picture, video and information.
The project have planned to print out theme name card to be hand out to the public to provide
them a link to the social platform. The project will also include putting custom sticker on the
body of the bike to advertise.
Target Audience
The majority of viewer that contributes to the networking are those daily road users which
includes civilian, cyclist, bikers and motorist. Secondly, the project mainly station in the
University of UTAR Kampar, Perak, whereby there are student amounted to 3000 and increasing.
Why Station In Kampar
Kampar is consider the town that are able to fit both the university lads and average income
family. Secondly, the project is based in Kampar due to that University of Tunku Abdul Rahman
main campus is station at Kampar as well. Where it hold most of PR students, Marketing student
and Advertising student as well; and all the events are held in the university as well. Publicity for
a project or any information can be transfer smoothly and quickly. Secondly, University student
will be more likely to catch the trend and fashion quicker as long as the design catches their
attention.
Target Audience Attractiveness
There are road user all around us, yet hardly for the user to see a beautiful piece of engineering
art on the street. The chance of seeing it on the street will attract the attention of all other road
user to the bike. The rareness of it can be used as an advertising to convey a message to the
public.
Financial Feasibility
The start-up cash plays an important role in order for the project to be brought to live. Many
aspect has been taken into consideration. The aspect includes the motorcycle itself, proper
equipment, traveling expenses, cameras and mounting. The project require financial support that
is total amounted to RM 25,000.

The project estimated budget for start-up cost has been utilized to the fullest with the lowest
required start-up. The project require the public funding of RM20, 000 and other expenses will
be bare by the project management team. The project are hoping to obtain the RM 20,000 of
funding by obtaining the funding part by part from multiple sponsor. Sponsor can provide a fund
of RM4000 to the project as an advertisement fees for 3 years period.

In the table above indicates the allocation of the funding and the estimation to run the whole
project.
Proposal Model
My propose model for this project would like to invite any potential sponsor to provide part of
the funding or the total sum of the fund required. Secondly, we are proposing that the project are
willing to discuss on the possibility for the financial funding to exchange for a 3 year period of
advertising through applying easily noticeable sticker of your preferred company logo on the
body of the motorcycle while travelling to different location and promoting it through social
media and other possible network. The project would also mention the sponsors company name
in each of the photo details that the project is possible to become reality all thanks to the funding

provided to making this project happen as credits. We will be gladly to discuss other possibilities
of the return for the financial support on the project. We can also provide the motorcycle as a
photo shooting background for your company to promote your prefer item and providing a model
if the photo shooting is taking place in Kampar.
Key Activities
The project will execute the all the activities as mention for photo shooting, video recording and
expansion of the networking to all other road users or potential fans. The project will also
socialize with other motorcycle events to promote the campaign and the sponsors company
name and logo. Second activities will includes distribution of name cards and T-shirts with
printed logo of sponsors company name and the project name to lucky followers of the project
randomly through social event for them to compete in the number of share for the page and likes
of the pages. The project would also organized different trip and meeting with all the locals and
sharing their experience.
Value Proposition
Based on the project models, the promise value of return for the project is to increase the
popularity of the project and the sponsors. The project can increase the publicity for both sides as
there are not much of cases that crowdfunding have a good success rate for that huge amount of
money. In other words, the project can catch the attention of the public
Channeling Method
The project channel method will promote updates and details to the public about the project
location, contact, and planned routes. Firstly, the project will be advertise and promoted through
social platform such as Facebook, You Tube, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp and Wechat. We
choose to use Internet and social media to promote the project because this is the most effective
and costless ways in advertisement. We also will keep contact and always update our viewers
through the private message and emails. Besides that, the project will also approach channels that
channels message through word of mouth as the project will constantly on the road and
noticeable by others.

The channel method will implement 2 type of method to channel the message effectively.
Method 1 will be using a simple power point preview to be presented to each lecture class inside
the university. Each student can request a 5 minute time from the lecture to present a short news
to all the classes. The power point will included the introduction of the project and the sponsors.
The power point presentation will also include the procedure, links and how to contact the
sponsors company. Secondly, the message will also be convey through social media for example
Facebook and Instagram.
Method 2 will be implemented using visual marketing to promote the website. The visual
marketing method will strategically places the logo and slogan of sponsors company on the
body of the motorcycle that is eye catching and I will redesign a T-shirt will the project title and
credit to the sponsors company name including the slogan during city cruising the further
increase the noticeability of the website. Besides that, I will print out name cards which included
the project link and the crowdfunding platform link to be distributed to the public all around. By
combining these method, the message can be transmitted clearly and widely.
Return On Investment
According to the project, the data obtain is estimated of 380 likes for the project through one
session of sharing. The project have obtain only 2 supporter. The estimation of the return can be
estimated at 0.05 % as a return of each session of sharing of the project. We are able to boost the
possibility to an average of 100 people or viewer to the sponsors website in a month time.
