Confusing Pronouns Practice

I) Choose the correct words.


1. (Its/Its) better if you practice first.
2. (Your/Youre) haircut looks great!
3. (Their/Theyre/There) taking too long to finish.
4. (Your/Youre) the smartest person I know.
5. They are calling (their, theyre, there) friends to invite them over.
6. The bird flies back to (its/its) nest to feed the baby birds.
7. (Their/Theyre/There) is more food in the kitchen.
8. Id like to buy (your/youre) painting.
9. (Its/Its) not time to leave yet.
10. They shouldnt leave (their, theyre, there) phones and computers unattended.
II) Use the information in the brackets [ ] to decide if the indefinite pronoun should be used in the
singular or plural form.
1. All [of the food] (is/are) delicious.
2. More [women] (is/are) joining the program.
3. Some [people] (drink/drinks) coffee religiously.
4. None [of the information] (translate/translates) completely.
5. Many [of the plates] (was/were) broken.
III) Determine whether the pronouns were used correctly in the following sentences.
1. correct/incorrect Both are perfect for the job.
2. correct/incorrect My sisters and I are going to Mexico in June.
3. correct/incorrect Many is expecting a response from you.
4. correct/incorrect There is a spider in the bathroom!
