Air-Water System for Odour Removal

The document discusses different air conditioning systems. An all water system lacks odor removal since it circulates water, not air. An air-water system provides a separate air system for ventilation in addition to the water system. The air can be neutral or cooled to lower temperatures, allowing the water system to be smaller since some heat is absorbed by the ventilation air. Alternative induction systems include two, three, and four pipe configurations or radiant panels with supplementary air.

The only thing lacking is odour removal, because an All Water system circulates
water not air.

AIR-WATER SYSTEM
-

Lack of odour removal leads us to the third system- the Air-Water system

A separate air system is provided to supply fresh ventilation air to the space.

The temperature of air entering the space may be neutral (75F) 24C allowing
the water system to handle all the heat entering the space. Or the temperature
of the ventilation air may be lowered to 50-55F (10-12C) and some of the heat
load can be absorbed by the ventilation air. By doing this the water system can
be smaller-handling the remainder of the space heat load.

In solving ventilation requirements or the need for making the simultaneous

availability of heating/cooling, alternative to the basic Air-Water system have
solved e.g.
a. TWO PIPE INDUCTION
b. THREE PIPE INDUCTION
c. FOUR PIPE INDUCTION
d. RADIANT PANELS WITH SUPPLIMENTRY AIR
