Public Notice For Approval Process 2017-18 Final

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) invites applications from existing and proposed technical institutions for approval to conduct various technical programs for the 2017-2018 academic session. Applications can be submitted online from January 5th to February 4th, 2017 for setting up new institutions, continuing approval of existing institutions, or making changes to programs. Applications will be processed from February 5th to April 10th, 2017. All applicants are advised to read the AICTE Approval Process Handbook and regulations carefully before applying.

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR APPROVAL PROCESS 2017- 2018


AICTE invites applications for approval from all the existing and proposed technical institutions for
conducting technical programs/courses including courses of Management for the academic session 2017-2018 as
per the following:
(a) Applications for Setting up New Technical Institutions offering Technical Programs
(Engineering&Technology / Pharmacy / Architecture and Town Planning / Applied Arts & Crafts /
Management / HMCT / MCA) at Degree/Post Graduate Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Diploma / Post
Diploma levels affiliated to Universities/ Concerned Board of Technical Education.
(b) Applications from Existing Technical Institutions offering Technical Programs (Engineering & Technology /
Pharmacy / Architecture and Town Planning/ Applied Arts & Crafts / Management / HMCT / MCA) at
Degree/Post Graduate Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Diploma / Post Diploma levels affiliated to
Universities/ Concerned Board of Technical Education for Change of Site/ Location, Closure of Institution,
Conversion of Womens Institution into Co-Ed Institution and vice-versa, Conversion of Diploma Level into
Degree Level and vice-versa, Extension of Approval / Continuation of approval after a break in the preceding
academic year/ Restoration, Increase in Intake/ Additional Course(s), Addition of Integrated/ Dual Degree
Course, Fellowship Programme in Management, Introduction/ Continuation of supernumerary seats for OCI/
PIO/ Foreign Nationals/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, Introduction/ Continuation of seats
for sons/ daughters of NRIs, Change in name of the Course/ Reduction in Intake/ Closure of Programme and/
or Course, Change in name of the Institution, Change in name of the Trust/ Society/ Company, Change of
Affiliating University/ Board.
(c) Submission ofonline applications for the session 2017-2018 in respect of all approvals as above shall begin
on 5 thJanuary, 2017 and shall end on 4 th February, 2017.The last date for submission of online application
for Extension of Approval (with penalty as per the provisions of APH 2017-18) for existing Institutions only,
is permitted up to 9 th February, 2017. It may be noted that there will be no further extension of date under any
circumstances.
(d) Processing of all applications submitted online for the session 2017-2018 in respect of all approvals as
above shall begin on 5 thFebruary, 2017and shall end on 10 th April, 2017.
All applicants are requested to read the AICTE Approval Process Hand Book (2017-2018) and Regulations of
All India Council for Technical Education (Grant of approval for Technical Institution) Regulation, 2016 very
carefully and thoroughly, before submitting online applications on AICTE Web Portal www.aicte-india.org for
the academic session 2017-2018.
