Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy is a technique that could help with cancer diagnosis by analyzing biological samples. The study examined infrared spectra of cancerous and normal tissues. Differences in absorbances of biomolecules like lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids were found between cancerous and normal tissues, showing potential for this technique to distinguish between healthy and cancerous cells with further research.
