Target Structure: Present Simple

Vocabulary: Family, jobs, locations
Level: Elementary
Time: 30 minutes
Preparation: None

Suggested Teaching Method

This worksheet can be used as a good mixer activity. It offers extensive practice of the Present Simple with lots
of personalisation.

Students should practise the conversation in pairs, reversing roles.

Explain that students must ask similar questions to all the group members and make notes in the
table.

Choose a confident student to ask you some questions. Encourage a mix of questions for the
extra information box.

Write questions words on the board that students can use. (Where / live, What / do) etc.

Monitor the conversations, avoiding correction at this stage unless absolutely necessary. Make
notes on any heinous errors and put the up on the board after the activity is over.
