Objectives The student will
A. Practice or revise animal vocabulary.
B. Produce simple descriptions about different animals.
C. Speak about curious facts they know of the animals selected.
D. Discus and share through an interview their opinions about the
important of animals in their lives since we share the same
environment.
Task Narrative 1. First, the teacher is going to ask students name animals they know
or if they have visited a zoo. Let them speak about their
experiences.
2. In a box preparer ten pictures of different animals. Fold them.
(elephant, cat, lion, crocodile, ant, bee, cow, eagle, frog, fish)
3. Play a song or do a sound while you pass around the box, when
you stop the song or the sound, the student who got the box is
going to take a paper. This time the student is just going to
mention the name of the animal. The paper has to return to the
box. Fold it again. If another student take out the same animal,
has to say some descriptions about the animal.
4. The activity continues until all the animals are named and have
been described.
5. Second, students have to be organizing in groups.
6. The teacher has to prepare ahead a set of questions for each group
(papers with the different questions and put them in a bag).
7. Taking turns, each student is going to take a paper with a question
and ask the question to the group. They are going to raise a
discussion for each question.
8. Each member of the group has to give his/her opinion.
Methodology Game and interview
Other information to The first activity is like to play hot potato. But first students are
understand activity just going to mention the name of the animal and then they are
going to start with simple descriptions (using adjectives> it is big,
it lives on the water, it has tail, it is cover of feathers, it has claws
and fangs), then they continue speaking about curious facts of the
animals presented in the pictures.
