Smelling Activities for Kindergarten

This document provides a lesson plan about teaching students about the sense of smell. The lesson involves reading a book called "Smelling" and having students participate in a smelling jars activity where they identify scents. Students then cut and paste pictures of smelly items onto a drawing of a nose. The goal is for students to understand that the nose is the sensing organ for smell and to be able to describe scents using words like strong, faint, bad, and good. The teacher assesses if students can match the sense of smell to the nose and use sensory descriptors.
