2004 Mobile Market Share Analysis

Nokia had the largest overall market share of mobile handsets in 2004 at 56%, primarily dominating the larger GSM market with a 64.8% share. While LG led the smaller CDMA market with 37.3% share, Samsung was a close second in CDMA and had the second highest overall share at 13.5%. In 2004, Nokia was a market leader in GSM while LG had a dominant share of CDMA market and was
closely followed by the Samsung .But still the overall market share of Nolkia stood st 56% ( much higher
than other ) as the GSM market was roughly 5 times the CDMA market in 2004 .
