Resilient Supply Chain Network Design

This document discusses developing a supply chain network model to minimize transportation damage risks and costs. The model aims to reduce product shipping costs for a network containing transportation companies and distribution centers. It considers how proper packaging and transportation route design can increase supply chain resilience to risks like shipment damage during transport.

Abstract:

There are cases where the shipment is damaged during the transportation. The variability
of loss depends on human error during the packaging and transportation risk. The
network design of resilience of supply chain under the risk of the shipment damage. This
paper studies the impact of the product shipping cost on the supply chain network and
minimizes the risk of transportation damage by showing the flexibility and the resilient of
the network. The objective is to develop model that reduce the cost of the product
transportation for the network that content transportation company and distribution
centers
