Mission
Our mission is to establish and maintain a successful youth football league that serves the young boys of Nappanee and
Wakarusa.
Objectives
• Have fun!
• Promote interest in the sport of football
• Teach our players proper and safe football skills and techniques
History
• The League was established in 2011 by a group of community members from
Nappanee and Wakarusa with the support of NorthWood High School.
• Financial support was provided and allowed for the purchase of quality
equipment, facility maintenance, practice dummies, cones, etc.
• A Board of Trustees was formed and includes: a President, Vice President,
Treasurer, Secretary, and Varsity Head Football Coach.
League
• 3rd/4th grade NFL FLAG football
• 5th/6th grade full contact football
• Practice: Mondays & Thursdays 5:30 PM to 7 PM @ Varsity practice fields @ NWHS
• Games: 6 games, Saturdays 9 & 10:30 AM @ Varsity practice fields @ NWHS
Youth Spring Camps (3rd – 6th graders)
• QB Elite: March 12, 19, 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM @ NWMS (see Facebook page for more details)
• Line School: March 12, 19, 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM @ NWMS (see Facebook page for more details)
Youth Summer Camp (1st – 6th graders)
• June 4-7; 9 to 10:15 AM @ Varsity practice fields @ NWHS
Leagues Coaching Certifications & Requirements
• Coaches participate in off-season professional development related to all NW Football Philosophies
• Coaches are USA football certified
• Coaches are continually trained through a safety program sponsored by the IHSAA
• League regulates the amount of physical contact during practices

League Costs
• 3rd/4th grade: $40 each
• 5th/6th grade: $80 each; additional family member in tackle league: $60 each
