The student will be able to know how to use the different ways to write the decimal numbers.

Some students know the name of the decimal point.
Possible Problems and Misconceptions:
Some students can't read the numbers or the words of the decimal number.

Good morning grade 4, How are you, Today I have many interesting activities and I hope you pay
attention with me and if you have any question you may raise your hand. Do you know what the name of
our lesson today? It's called Tens (parts of tens).
Student communication and use of math language
Hi Ms. Amal, Iam fine thank you. How are you Ms. Amal, We are excited to work on the activity and we
will pay attention and we will raise our hands if we have any question. Yes, it's about the Tens (parts of
tens).
Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:
- After greeting I will explain for the students the concepts of the lesson step by
step and model them to demonstrate how I will explain the questions.
I will print the paper of the decimals squares for tens, and then I will stick on the
board, after that I will explain for them how to write the numbers from the decimals
squares. ( 5 Minutes ) 10
Minutes
- After that I will color some columns and the students should count the colored
columns then the students write the decimal numbers. ( 5 Minutes )
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures):
- I will give each group one paper of the decimals squares for tens, and I will
give them the decimal numbers, the students should color the columns of
specific number they have, and the second worksheet I will give also each
group the decimals squares with colored columns and the students should
write the decimal numbers. ( 10 Minutes)
- The second activity I will give each group one ice- cream sticks and I will give
them the decimal numbers they have to color the sticks from what the number 25
they have, and I will give them the colored ice-cream sticks then the students Minutes
should count and write the decimal numbers. ( 10 Minutes )
- The third activities I will give each group one worksheet include word
problems about the Tens (parts of tens), and each group should write the
answer on the worksheet. After that we will discuss about the answers.

- I will give each students one worksheet about the Tens (parts of tens), and I
will let them to answer the questions, then I will correct for the students to 10
check if there are understanding the lesson. (5 Minutes )

then I will correct for them the answers. ( 5 Minutes )
