Lesson Plan: The Squares of Tens

The students will learn to identify tenths as decimals by writing decimal numbers from colored columns on a decimal grid. They will practice this skill by coloring decimal grids and ice cream sticks based on given decimal numbers, and by solving word problems involving decimals. To assess understanding, the teacher will have students answer worksheet questions and review concepts in their textbooks. The lesson uses hands-on activities like coloring and counting to help students grasp how to write, read, and use decimal numbers.
