Statement of the Problem
The study aims to improve teachers’ and students’ use of Canvas in teaching and learning
curricular competencies needed for core and applied subjects in Senior High School division of
Jose Rizal University.
Research Questions
Specifically, this study seeks to provide answers to the following research questions:
1. what challenges do teachers experience in using Canvas as a blended learning tool to
effectively deliver learning competencies of the core and applied subjects in Senior High
School?;
2. what challenges do students experience in using Canvas as a blended learning tool to
effectively learn learning competencies of the core and applied subjects in Senior High
School? ;
3. what are the major causes of these challenges shared by both teachers and students in
using Canvas as a blended learning tool?; and
4. what program can be designed, implemented and tested to improve teachers’ and
students’ use of Canvas for effective teaching and learning in Senior High School?
