2018 Standard Legal Fees

Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu Province and Cebu City Chapters

Date of effectivity: 15 December 2018

Whenever there are two amounts, the standard is whatever is higher.

**CONSULTATION**

Plain consultation - P1,000/hr

Consultation with written advice - P1,500 or P500/page

Research/preliminary study - P1,000/hr

Preparation of attorney's letter - P1,000

Retainership agreement - P8,000/month

**NOTARIZATION**

Preparation and notarization of simple affidavits (jurat) - P1,000

Authentication of documents - P500 or P100/page

Notarization of contracts - P1,500

Preparation of contracts involving sale and similar transactions - 2% of contract price or P1,500
Preparation of contracts not involving sale (no pecuniary consideration) - P1,500

**ACCEPTANCE FEES**

Criminal cases

MTC - 40,000

RTC - 65,000

CA - 80,000

SC - 150,000

Civil cases

MTC - 35,000

RTC - 60,000

CA - 75,000

SC - 150,000

Correction of entries/change of name - 35,000

Domestic adoption - 70,000

Adoption involving foreigners - 150,000

Naturalization - 120,000

Negotiation and execution of CBA - 50,000 or 2,500/hr

Election cases - 120,000

Testate/intestate proceedings w/o opposition - 60,000 or 5% of the fair market value (FMV) of the estate

W/ opposition - 150,000 or 10% of the FMV

Land registration - 150,000 or 5% of the FMV

Reconstitution of title - 75,000


New owner's duplicate of title - 50,000

Registration of patents, copyrights - 150,000

Immigration - 40,000

Before other agencies

original jurisdiction - 60,000

appellate jurisdiction - 70,000

**APPEARANCE FEES**

MTC - 2,000 or 1,000/hr

RTC - 3,500 or 1,500/hr

CA - 8,000 or 2,000/hr

SC - 15,000 or 2,500/hr

Labor Arbiter - 2,000 or 1,000/hr

DOLE/POEA/NCMB - 2,500 or 1,500/hr

NLRC - 3,000 or 1,500/hr

OMB - 2,500 or 1,000/hr

Pros. Ofc. - 2,500 or 1,000/hr

RSP - 3,500 or 1,500/hr

other admin agencies - 3,500 or 1,500/hr
