Rules and Instructions ________________________________________
All the instructions related to the registration, Judgment criteria, number of students in one
group and disqualifications are mentioned below and also there are all rules and regulations for
each event which are also mentioned there.

1. Wire Speed Star (Speed Wiring):
This competition will test the skills of circuit neatness and speed of wiring the circuit.
Basic digital logic designing techniques will be tested. In this competition, a circuit
diagram will be provided to the participants, and they will have to implement it on the
breadboard.
Rules & Regulations:
Team should consist of maximum 2 members.
Maximum duration of the contest will be 30-45 min.
Members should be a student of a university.
Circuit schematics will be provided on the spot.
Datasheets for the IC's, supplies, components and wires will be provided to the
participants.
There will be two chances for the team to get there circuit checked.
Any helping material, if found, or any cheating attempt will lead to disqualification.
The decision of the judges shall be considered final.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

3. Pro Guru (Speed Programming):
Test your programming skills and speed in this exciting contest. Prepare yourself to come
up with solutions and your fingers to run over the keyboard like fire in this race and
compete some great minds!
Rules and Regulations:
Each team is allowed to have maximum 3 members.
The required stationery/items will be provided to each team.
Each team will be allowed to code in C++ only; the tool available for coding will be
Visual Studio. Participants will be required to submit their program files only (with
extensions .cpp).
The decision of the judges shall be considered final.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

5. Proteus Circuit Designing:
Proteus and Circuit! If you have what it takes to tinker around with Proteus and create
Proteus simulations, then join us in Proteus circuit designing! It is a two-level event with
circuits as the main flavor and designing on Proteus as its complementary spice. It
requires the participants to design various circuits for given problems. However, the levels
of these problems are kept so that students from any year with a background in
engineering may try their hand at this event.
Rules and Regulations:
Teams shall comprise of a maximum of 3 members.
The required stationery/items will be provided to each team.
Any kind of malpractice will lead to the team’s disqualification.
Teams will be judged on the basis of the time taken to simulate the circuit.
The decision of the judges shall be considered final.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
Proteus version 7.8 or 8 will be provided.

7. Engineering Problem Solving:
This contest will be a test of the engineer’s ability to solve complex real world problems.
The contestants will compete in a battle of circuits, strategy and mental endurance! They
will be competing with their knowledge and skills in fields of Electric circuits, Logic
Circuits, Embedded Systems and Signal Processing.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team may consist of 3 members
The participants will be given 6-8 problems which they will have to solve in the
allotted time.
At the end of the contest the contestants will have to demonstrate their work to
the judges.
The decision of the judges shall be considered final.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

5. Digital Logic Designing:
Be a logic master! Design the given logic problem using simple gates in given time and
implement it.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team will comprise of 3 members.
Each question will carry different marks.
Implementation of circuit and schematic diagram of circuit on the sheet is
compulsory.
Tasks must be completed in given time limit.
Team using unfair means will be disqualified.

[Link] Marathon:
So you think you can do math? Get ready to be challenged in this competition that aims
to crown the best mathematician. Raise your game and become a mathematical KING!
Rules and Regulations:
Students of undergraduate and graduate level are eligible to apply for this
competition.
Each team is allowed a maximum of 2 members.
First round will be a MCQ’s round while the second round will be a subjective
paper.
Calculators are allowed to be used in the competition in the second round.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

[Link] Knowledge Quiz:
This event will comprise of both General knowledge questions.
Rules & Regulations:
Team will consist of maximum 3 members.
Competition will comprise of two rounds.
MCQ’s TEST (General Knowledge, Shapes/Figures reading, Common sense,
Analytical)
Rapid Fire Round
Participants will be briefed regarding the rules once before the start of each
competition round.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

9. Project Exhibition:
This competition is all about show casing your projects and taking the judges and audience
with surprise.
Rules and Regulations:
A maximum of 5 participants is allowed per team
The participants must be enrolled in undergraduate programs.
Attention final year students. Display your FYP, show your talent and compete others.

9. Business Launch:
Want to start your own company one day? Then this is the best platform for you. Business
Plan Competition aims to provide the participants with a platform to present their idea to a
panel of judges, to give them experience to launch your own business.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team should have 3 to 5 members.
The teams will be evaluated mainly on the basis of the quality of the written business
plan, the viability of the proposed venture and presentation quality.
The time given to each team will be 20 mins exceeding the limit will be penalized.
The decisions of the judges will be considered final.

11. Elevator Pitch:
Are you capable of convincing people for your business in just one minute? If you can, then
show your skills and grab followers.
Rules and Regulations:
Only an individual can participate in this event.
Time to present the business idea will be one minute.
Exceeding the one minute mark will be penalized.
The decision of judges will be final.

11. E-Gaming:
There will be great fun in the name of E-Gaming. You can join e gaming with your own team
and make this day a memorable day for you. FIFA 14 for football lovers, COD 4(Call Of Duty)
for battle lovers and race frenzy NFS MOST WANTED. So here is an opportunity for you to
have some fun.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team is allowed 4 participants COD 4 and FIFA 14 & NFS MW is individual event.
Participants are requested to be there at gaming venue on time. Any delay will result
in a walkover to the opponent.
Any misbehavior will result in disqualification.

Are you the one who can make awesome sketches? If yes, then INNOVATIA is providing you
a great opportunity to make a live sketch to become the best sketch maker in the INNOVATIA
2015.
Rules and Regulations:
The theme for Sketching will be “_________”.
Only an individual can participate in this event.
Any misbehavior will result in disqualification.
The decision of the judges shall be considered final.
The time of the competition will be from 9 to ONWORDS .
The sketchings will be judged on the basis of innovation, originality, and relevance
to the theme.
Cardboard, pencils and erasres will be provided by the team innovatia.
Must not include words, national flags, or slogans.
Name of participant as well as the university’s name and team name must be clearly
mentioned on the back of the paper.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
Sketches will remain with FUUAST.

13. Ludo:
Come and enjoy the environment with us and also refresh your Childhood memories by
playing Ludoo.
Rules and Regulations:
A maximum of 2 participants is allowed per team.
General Ludoo rules apply.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.

14. Bilingual Essay Writing:
Are you a talented essay writer? Then take advantage of this chance to get rewarded for your
work! This event is all about supporting writers and providing the motivation they need. The
purpose of this essay writing contest is to inspire writers from the universities to showcase
their creative and critical thinking skills.
Rules and Regulations:
The topics of competition shall be unveiled at the start of the competition.
The time of essay writing will be 1 hour.
The essay should not be less than 1000 words.
Sheets and pens will be provided by FUUAST Islamabad.

15. Bilingual Debates:
Good Speakers can avail this Chance to Explore the Talent. So prepare yourself for
Debates.
Rules and Regulations:
A team should consist of 2 members of which one participant must debate in English
and other in urdu.
One participant can also participate.
Contestants have to debate on a Pre-Given Topic.
Time for debates will be 3-5 mins. Exceeding the time will be penalized.
Use of vulagar language, taking about politics or politicians and religion is stricktly
prohibited and the participant will be disqualified.
The time of Debates will be decided by the Judges.
Debate should be to the point and no irrelevant Material should be considered.
English Serious:

16. Scavenger Hunt:
Scavenger Hunt is a social event in which students from different universities can
participate. Sharp minds win the battle because it will not be a child’s play.
Rules and Regulations:
Each team will comprise of 4 members.
Each question will carry different marks.
Each team will be provided with the map.
Tasks must be completed in given time limit.
Team using unfair means will be disqualified.

17. Photography Competition:
Pictures Submitted to the judges must be of the on-going event. The pictures must
present the positives of the event.
Rules and Regulations:
This event is individual event.
Participants will submit a total of 5 pictures ‘THEME UNIVERSITY LIFE’ 3 pictures needs
to be captured at FUUAST while the 2 pictures must be of Islamabad the world’s second
beautiful capital.
Participants are expected to have their own equipment (Cameras, laptops, tripods and
all).
Innovatia management will not provide any technical help.
The pictures must be submitted on by June 07, 2015, 1000hrs.
Unprocessed pictures will be disqualified.
Pictures clicked with a mobile phone will be disqualified.
The Organizers reserves the right to amend the Contest Period at any time. All entries
received outside the Contest Period will be disqualified

. Selfie Competition:
Pictures Submitted to the judges must be taken in FUUAST CAMPUS.
Rules and Regulations:
This event is Team event.
Team should consist of maximum 5 members.
Participants will submit just one pic to the event head.
Violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
