Appendix 2: Lesson Reflection: Select (S)

The document summarizes a lesson taught to KG2 students at Al Jood school on March 13, 2019 about the five senses. The lesson linked the five senses to counting money and buying items. Each student was given a sense and money to buy related items. They then counted and added the money and presented what they bought to practice math, English, and learning about the senses through a hands-on activity. The teacher observed that the students enjoyed the interactive nature of the lesson and were engaged in answering questions and the activity. For future lessons, the teacher plans to include more discussion and controlled hands-on activities while linking the content to multiple subjects.

Appendix 2: Lesson Reflection

(Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Teach the student about 5 senses and in the same time addition and English they learn how to buy and count the
money

Describe (D):
My lesson is for KG 2 in Al Jood school on Wednesday 13 March,2019 at 9:15 AM. My lesson was in the classroom
the teacher let the student go to the centres and I take one group to do my activity and other student did the other
activity, I try to teach the student about senses and I linked math and English in the same time and I try to help the
student know the five senses and how to add the number also I try to let them present what they did and what they
have. First to let the student understand I show them a picture about five senses and ask them question “what is this?”
and the student start answer, then I did example for them before we start the activity each one of them have one sense
and money, each student should buy things relate to the sense and give me the money with counting and then present
what they have.

Analyze (A):
First, I show them picture about the senses and I asked them question what they saw, I think the student like the way
that they buy things relate to the sense and they like the money and try to count and add the money. The students take
five senses before and they know about them also what we do in each sense and when I ask them question they start
answer with me and this thing help me in the activity. I did for the student’s hands-on activity they like it more than
the paper because every day they do the activity on the papers only they don’t have more hands-on activity and they
feel boring.

Appraise (A):
I saw that the student start answers with me fast because they know about five senses and they like the activity. My
lesson plan is meet my goals they did they activity and, they count and add the numbers and they present their work
with the group.

Transform (T):
Next time I will let the student discuss to gather than they play with the things I will control them, and I will try more
fun activity that keep the student understand. When I did the activity, I think about hands-on activity that will keep
the student interest also I try to link this activity with three subjects such as Math, English and Science.
