Camporee Packing List

Note: Everyone’s needs are unique. Use this as a guide, add extra if camping for 2
nights, and pay special attention to items that are for cold and wet weather. Always plan
for rain, even if it’s not in the forecast!

 Warm Sleeping Bag (it may get cool at night)


 Pillow if you need one
 Small stuffed animal
 Warm Pajamas (whatever works for you – toilets are not located in the tents)
 Sweatshirt (preferably hooded) for wearing in bed if cold
 Slip on Shoes or Sandals (for night time trips to toilet, optional)
 2-3 Pairs of Jeans or long pants
 3 Shirts
 3 Pair Socks
 3 Pair Underwear
 Shoes
 Small bag to carry toiletries (including needed items)
 Toothbrush and Toothpaste
 Hairbrush
 Ponytail Holders
 Towel and Washcloth (old or dark color)
 Soap in Soap Holder
 Flashlight and extra batteries
 Insect Repellent
 Sunscreen
 Refillable Water Bottle
 Sit-upon (if you have one)
 Rain Jacket
 Rain Boots or shoes for wet weather
 Warm Jacket, Hat and Gloves
 Mess kit if your troop leader says you need one
 Bandana to wear around campfire
 SWAPS if you will be swapping (“Special Whatchamacallit Affectionately
Pinned Somewhere”. Google “swaps” to learn more.)
