The National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) aims to accelerate sustainable transformation of Indian agriculture through collaborative development and application of innovations. Its objectives are to build capacity of agricultural research systems, promote production to consumption systems to boost productivity and incomes, and improve livelihoods in disadvantaged regions. In its first year, NAIP identified priority areas, districts to be covered, and established management committees. It also developed frameworks, plans, and held workshops to engage stakeholders in its work.
