“The Story of the First

Chicken Dinner”

Once upon a time in the far away land, there was a kingdom known as “Birdania”.

A kingdom that can be found in an island which is being lifted in the earth's atmosphere

through magic. It is a peculiar kingdom because they value the rights and freedom of

birds above all. There are over five million species of birds freely flying and living in that

wonderful paradise. There were two brothers who studies and observing carefully the

behavior of these birds, the older brother is John, and the younger brother is Kim. One

day, they heard rumors about the mystery of a mountain called “Mountain Sky”, a huge

mountain whose summit has reach beyond the clouds, and no one has ever climb high

enough to cross the clouds borderline that separates the heaven and earth and reach its

summit, not even a single one. Since there was no one has ever gone there, the brothers

decided to start a journey into that summit to witness the true nature of beauty and unveil

the mysteries lying beyond that cloud. So their journey to the mountain's summit, to the

sky beyond skies has just began. In their way, they met countless species of birds along

with them. After two weeks of hiking, John and Kim finally reached the summit and break

through the sky's limitations. As they walk in the summit’s surface, they witnessed a

wonderful paradise with beauty that goes beyond imagination. They can’t believe what
they saw and that they were the first to lay their eyes beauty within that place. As they

happily walk around and explore every places, they met an even more species of birds

that believed to be nonexistent in the kingdom. They were looking around the place when

they notice a hole in a wall of a rock so went there and took a look on what’s inside.

“”Surprised”, that’s the expression on their face when they saw a huge cave leading

furthermore underground. Out of curiosity, they went inside and walked deeper in the

cave. As they go down that cave, they saw a temple that appears to be a nest of the

unknown birds in that place and in the center of that temple, they saw an egg that is

different from the others. They checked the records regarding that egg and they stunned

when they realized that, that egg is a unique species of birds that has no ability to fly.

They decided to take it with them when they go back and take care of it.

The time has come for that egg to hatch, and a small, yellowish bird appeared

before the brother’s eyes. They named that species as a chicken. But the King found out

that John and Kim are keeping a rare species of bird that was the king’s lost treasure so

he summoned the two brothers in the palace to meet and talk to them about the chicken.

The brothers respond to the king’s summon and went to the palace right away. The king

wants them to give back the treasure that the royal bloodline once owned. But, John and

Kim refused to give the treasure that they worked so hard to retrieve. The king saw the

brother’s determination to hold on to the chicken so he decided to test that determination.

The king said that he is willing to give the chicken to them but, in one condition. They

must win and survive in a tournament that will be held in the earth’s surface. It is a

tournament that you would be dropped from the island to a random location in the surface

and take down every enemy in sight until your team will be the only one standing in the
battlefield. Without hesitation, John and Kim accepted and swear that they will win that

tournament and take the chicken home with them. The day has come for the tournament

to start so John, Kim, and the rest of the competitors are preparing to depart the island.

The announcer announced the details of the tournament. “Each team will consist two

members and every team will depart from different parts of the island and land in any

location they desire within the battlefield of the earth’s surface” it said. The announcer

also announced the rules of the tournament, “SURVIVE” that is. Right after the

announcement, John and Kim departed from the island and as soon as they landed in the

surface, they quickly visit every places to gather weapons, armors, food, and other things

they need to survive. On the first day of the tournament, the brothers are just collecting

stuff safely, but a few moments later, they encountered and got ambushed by a team that

already equipped high powered weapons. They were able to survive that attack and took

down the enemy before them, but because of that attack, Kim got injured and are not able

to travel properly. He got his leg broken because of the impact it dealt him when the

enemy threw an explosives towards them. And due to Kim’s injuries, they rested in a cave

and waiting for enemy instead if finding them to win the tournament as soon as possible.

They stayed in that cave for a few days, but the longer they stay the more the need for

them to find medicine and food in order to survive. Due to the shortage of their supplies,

Kim’s injuries worsened and gave John no choice but to leave Kim for a while to collect

supplies they need to carry their selves to victory. John left the cave to find supplies, but

before he got away to the cave, an enemy appeared before him and throw an explosive

that knocked John unconscious. As that enemy approaches John, unaware of Kim’s

presence, Kim shot that enemy down before he finishes John off. Kim immediately ran
towards John regardless to his injuries and struggled to get John and bring him back to

the cave to provide protection for them against surprise enemy attacks. John was heavily

wounded and they were in the brink of defeat. Because of their serious injuries, they

stayed even longer in that cave to restore a bit of their strength, and thanks to the supplies

that the enemy dropped, they were able to stay in an even longer amount of time. After a

few days of rest, the brothers decided to move forward and struggle to survive. While they

were moving around the battlefield, an announcement from above broadcast that there

were only two teams left in the battle. After hearing that announcement, the brother felt

relieved a bit realizing how close they are to victory. They got extra cautious against

enemies, after a while, they saw and enemy and strike him down, but the other one shot

Kim when he was about to approach the enemy to take the supplies he collected. John

silently approached the enemy and strike him unguarded, both weaponless people fought

each other hand to hand but since John was seriously wounded, the table is slowly turning

against him and then he got knocked down. The enemy picked a knife and are about to

stab John, but he was not aware that Kim is still alive and when he realized that, Kim is

already aiming the bow towards him. Kim shot the enemy and killed him. Though

wounded, Kim and John survive and manage to grab victory into their hands. While they

were very happy, Kim smiled before he dropped into the ground and collapsed due to his

wounds, and got confined in the inn. They were able to get back the chicken, but John

felt unhappy because it cost his brothers safety. John went home alone and sad and

immediately lied down in his room. But John got alarmed when he heard someone talking

“after I laid my eggs, you must prosper yourselves with my meat”, it said. John keeps on

looking where that voice comes from. “I am here John”, John was surprised when he
realized that the one talking to him was the chicken in his front. “I have done my purpose

in this land”, it said. And then John asked “what do you mean to prosper ourselves?” The

chicken answered ‘after I laid my eggs, you must take care of them the way you took care

of me, I will offer my meat to you, you must cook it and eat it together with everyone

including our brother and it will heal him completely, in return you must repopulate my

species and bring them to the earth’s surface as soon as they mature’. Without any doubt,

John believe the chicken and cooked its meat after it laid its eggs and eat together with

Kim and after they eat together, Kim’s wounds are slowly being healed. Kim really felt

grateful to the chicken who sacrifice its life to heal him. Year after John and Kim took care

of the chicken and live happily ever after.

Both brother was married to a woman and continue to fulfill the duties that the

enchanted chicken left them.
