How to be a successful student

It was during recess on a Tuesday morning.
Many of us were at the canteen. It was just after
10.30am because the bell had just rung for recess.
Many students were queuing up to buy their
food and drinks under the watchful eyes of the prefects. Some students who
were faster than the others were already seated at the tables, tucking in their
food.
Meanwhile Form Two girl, Jasmine had just been served
her food, a bowl of piping hot noodle soup. She was just
making her way to an empty table when a boy ran straight
into her and collided with her. She screamed in fright.
She dropped her bowl of noodles and spilled everything
on the floor. As a result, Jasmine was scalded on her fingers. The boy fell to the
floor and was scalded on his right arm.
The prefects rushed over to the spot. Several teachers who
were eating in the teachers’ room gushed out to check what
was going on. One of them instructed a prefect to scalded areas
and sent Jasmine and the boy to the clinic.
The canteen workers quickly cleaned up the mess
and things returned to normal soon after that. A while later,
the principal’s voice was heard over the public address
system, urging the students to be careful at all times so as
to prevent a repeat of the nasty accident.
