PROCEDURE:
Element of
Suggested Activity
the Plan
Awareness Present the different optical device mention or given in the activity and its uses, and the
Problem solving Sheet.
Activity Performance Task Activity: Making Improvised Optical Device (LM Science 10, page
209-210)
This performance task is done by four groups; each will be assigned to construct an
improvised optical device.
Analysis 1. What are the important things to consider in doing a task like this?
2. How are the images formed in the optical devise you have constructed?
Abstraction Guide question for each group:
Group 1: Explain the factors that affect the image on the screen of a camera.
Group 2: How do periscopes create incident and reflected rays?
Group 3: What are the factors affecting the magnification capabilities of a microscope?
Group 4: What are the factors affecting the magnification capabilities of a telescope?
Application The group will present their Problem Solving Sheet and explain or answer the different
questions given in the sheet.
Assessment Presentation of the group’s output. The outputs will be assessed or graded through rubrics.
Assignment Study all the lessons discussed for this quarter for the second Grading Periodical
Test.
