Reading Level Correlation Chart

This chart correlates reading levels based on various standardized tests and reading programs to US grade levels. It shows developmental reading levels from emergent through advanced fluent and maps them to grade levels from kindergarten through 6th grade and beyond. The grade level and reading level standards are guidelines, as levels become more fluid moving into grade 1 when prior knowledge is a stronger predictor of readability. Reading Recovery ends at grade 1 and PM Benchmarks end at grade 10.
