Sustainable Electricity from Turbines

This document summarizes a science investigatory project that aims to test the feasibility of using a wind turbine, water turbine, and saltwater battery attached to a pumpboat to produce electricity as an alternative to costly gas-powered generators. Specifically, the project seeks to determine the effectiveness of the device in producing electricity, how many hours it can produce electricity for, and whether the boat's speed impacts electricity production. It hypothesizes that there are significant relationships between the number of hours the device runs and the electricity stored, the boat's speed and electricity produced, and that the device produces significantly different electricity than a gas generator.

WIND TURBINE, WATER TURBINE AND SALTWATER BATTERY ATTACHED ON A
PUMPBOAT CATIG WITH A CAPACITOR THAT CAN STORE ELECTRIC ENERGY TO
PRODUCE ELECTRICITY

RESEARCH PROBLEM
Electricity nowadays is a need to the society. We need it for us to provide importance to our
gadgets especially phones. We need electricity to charge our phones. We also need electricity to
lightings, appliances and etc. A power generator is an effective way to produce electricity but we
think it’s costly because it uses natural gas which is very expensive nowadays. So as reasearchers
we think of making this device for the people in the society especially to those who need
electricity. An alternative way to produce electricity which is not costly and only uses nature in a
good way.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
This study seeks the feasibility of the wind turbine, water turbine and saltwater battery as an
alternative source of electricity on a pumpboat. Specifically it seeks to answer the following
questions:

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE (STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM):

 To find out the effectivity of the water turbine, wind turbine and sea water battery to
produce electricity.
 To find out the number of hours of the device to produce electricity.
 To find out if the speed of the pumpboat varies to the electricity produced.
HYPOTHESIS
NULL
1. There is no significant relationship between the number of hours and the electricity held
by the capacitor.
2. There is no significant relationship between the speed of the pumpboat and the electricity
produced.
3. There is no significant difference among the device and a power generator on the
electricity produced.
ALERNATIVE
1. There is a significant relationship between the number of hours and the electricity held by
the capacitor.
2. There is a significant relationship between the speed of the pumpboat and the electricity
produced.
3. There is a significant difference among the device and a power generator on the
electricity produced.
