ARCHITECTING INDIAN MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP IN THE ERA OF
DISRUPTION
The management landscape world over is witnessing a complete transformation in view of the
increasing adoption of artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, industry 4.0,
robotic process automation, fintech, blockchain, analytics and so forth. These recent developments
are making several existing management theories and frameworks relatively less relevant to
explain, understand and predict the real world practices. In tune with this, there is a need for
architecting management scholarship as well. With this context in mind, the Sixth Biennial
Conference of the Indian Academy of Management has set an objective of liberating the
management thought process and architecting management scholarship in this era of disruption.
The conference is being hosted by the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli in
association with the Indian Academy of Management.

CONFERENCE PAPERS SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The conference will accept full papers only. Submissions in the form of abstracts or extended
abstracts will not be accepted. The length of the paper should not exceed 8,000 words. The word
count includes all tables, figures, and references. The submission should include an abstract of
about 150 words, which will be included in the conference proceedings.
The papers should follow strictly the Academy of Management Journal style guidelines (guidelines
may be downloaded from AMJ website or https://iimtrichy.ac.in/INDAM2020); the papers not
following the style guidelines will be rejected without any review. The names of authors should
not be identified in the header/footer or in the body of the paper. All papers should follow the
process of blind review. The reviewers’ comments will be shared with the authors.
All the papers received by the deadline should be final and no request for change of authors, order
of authors, titles, abstracts, or rewrites will be entertained after the papers have been submitted.
A maximum of three papers either as an author or co-author are permitted. The papers are to be
submitted electronically. The paper submission details will be made available when the online
submission system website opens.
The best paper in each track will be recognized and awarded the best paper certificate. In tracks
where the number of submissions is very large, more than one paper will be recognized as a best
paper.

CONFERENCE ASSOCIATION WITH JOURNALS:
The Conference Coordinators and the Chief Editors of two journals (South Asian Journal of
Business Studies and South Asian Journal of HRM) have formally agreed to publish selected
papers submitted to the conference in a Special Issue devoted to the conference. Thus, high
quality submissions will have an opportunity to be published in a rather short time.
