INAUGURATION of the camp Vizhudhugal by MS KALAVATHI(HM
OF PRIMARY SCHOOL), MR VIJAYAN(IRCDS), MR DHINAKAR
(IRCDS)
TEAM A SCHOOL: Trainees distributed 148 students kit and conducted
Colouring(1st-3rd std), drawing(4th &5th std),poster making(6th&7th std) &
elocution(8th-10th std) competition on the topic “SWACHH BHARAT
ABHIYAN”
TEAM B COMMUNITY:
Rangoli competition for women, totally 5 members in 1 team.
TEAM C PRA :
team used 4 tools namely: seasonal mapping, resource mapping, Venn
diagram, social mapping
TEAM D SURVEY :
Survey was conducted on:
the socio-economic and health status of the households
Education status and dropout rates of students.
TEAM E PREPARATION:
Prepared rally social awareness posters on the topic: clean India,rain water
harvesting, plastic ban & woman safety

TEAM A SCHOOL:
-Conducted puppet show for 1st -5th std kids on the topic IMPORTANCE OF
SPENDING TIME WITH PARENTS.
- Students kit was distributed to 30 students; colouring &drawing
competition was conducted on the topic “SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN”
-students were thought on healthy eating (with the help of some teaching
aids)
-10 sapling planting were planted within the premises by school students.
AFTERNOON 20 saplings planting at goonipalayam primary school

-awarness wall painting on school and anganwadi walls (swatch Bharat
&child help line)
-rally on clean India and rain water harvesting with community and school
students at gooonipalayam

Morning all 43 trainees were part of the event conducted by IRCDS along
with Block Development Officer(BDO)&Child Welfare Department (CWD)
TEAM A SCHOOL:
-Distributed 190 students kit for both primary and secondary schools and
conducted SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN competitions for each classes
from 1st to 10th std
-Distribution of sports kit
-Safe and unsafe touch awareness sessions with teaching aids
-sanitary sessions for girls and distribution of sanitary napkins
-plantation of 15 saplings at new school premises
TEAM B COMMUNITY:
-Awareness wall paintings o plastic ban and child helpline
*cultural activities were cancelled due to bad weather

First time general medical camp is conducted in Allikuzhi panchayath were
150+community people were benefited out of it.

Last day of rural camp started with weeding activity in the farm of the basecamp
and the students actively participated and enjoyed the process of weeding and
developed their connection with nature.
Students started to the socio thiruvizhuva spot - Goonipalayam High school
where a team of students mobilised the people from all the three target villages
Allikuzhi, Kuttaikulam, Placepalayam villages.
The students put up 2 game stalls namely the lucky dip and paathu Adi to
provide small gifts for the people who attend socio-thiruvizha.
The socio thiruvizha started with few eminent chief guests Mr. Navaneetha
Krishanan (HR MANAGER) and Mr.Balakrishan (HR OFFICER) from Balmer
Lawrie Co. Ltd. Mr. Senthil, District Child Protection Officer, Tiruvallur, Mr.
Balasubramanian, State Legal Aid Officer and IRCDS staff, Mr.Vijayan and Mr.
Dhinakar and Goonipalayam School Headmaster Mr.Govindhan also joined with
his school students.
The students preformed a street theater covering the social issues like children's
education, child marriage and caste discrimination.
The chief guests distributed prizes for the different competitions like
drawing, colouring, painting, elocution and Rangoli held in school and
community respectively on the theme SWAACH BARATH.
58 winners received their prizes and participation prizes where given to ask
participants.
. A small sessions on menstrual health and hygiene was conducted for 50 girls
from classes 6th to 10th and sanitary napkins were distributed.
The campers donated 32 saplings and few books to the school library which was
graciously accepted by the head master of the government high school,
Goonipalayam.
