REVELATION OF QURAN:
Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the year 610 AD, in the form
of Wahi. At that time the age of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was 40.
Angel ‘Gabriel’ was specific to send the message of ALLAH to the Prophet
Muhammad (SAW). The first time Gabriel took some verses of Surah (Iqra) to the Prophet
Muhammad (SAW) with the order of ALLAH. It was the first Wahi.
HOW THE QURAN WAS WRITTEN?
When the revelation of Quran was started, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) could
neither read nor write. So, he decided to write down the verses to scribes on whatever material was
available (tree branches, stones, leather or bones). As it is, when new verses revealed, it was written
down at that time.
COMPILATION OF QURAN:
The Quran was completed in three steps:
 During the time period of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
 During the time period of Hazrat Abu-Bakar (R.A).
 During the time period of Hazrat Usman (R.A).
 DURING THE TIME PERIOD OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW):
In the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Quran was complete. Even the
arrangement and order of the Surahs and Ayahs were specified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
and the text was written down. However, at this stage, the Quran was not compiled into one book.
 DURING THE TIME PERIOD OF HAZRAT ABU-BAKAR (R.A):
Hazrat Abu-Bakar was the first Caliph. At that time in the battle of (Yamama), a
large number of Sahabas were martyred, who had memorized Quran. Then Hazrat Umar
(R.A) [the second caliph] suggested to the Hazrat Abu-Bakar (R.A) that Quran should be collected
and compiled into a single book form. Hazrat Abu-Bakar (R.A) agreed with this suggestion but
also feared, because he thought that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) had never taken this step.
Then ordered Hazrat Zain-bin-Saabit (R.A) to compile the Quran in a book form. Later
on, all the copies were collected and then presented to Hazrat Abu-Bakar (R.A).
 DURING THE TIME PERIOD OF HAZRAT USMAN (R.A):
Hazrat Usman (R.A) was the third Caliph. During the time period of Hazrat Usman
(R.A), a serious issue raised related to the recitation of the Quran. Nevertheless, the text of Quran
was accepted. Arabs from different parts of Islamic state recited it according to their dialect. These
presented some problems.
So, Hazrat Usman requested Hazrat Hafsa to provide the previous compilation of
[Link] that other copies could be made out of it. In a committee consisting of Hazrat Zaid-bin-
Haris (R.A) and few other companions were agreed on the pronunciation of the original copy.
And the more version of that copy was produced and sent to different parts of the
Islamic state.
QURAN IS A BOOK OF GUIDANCE:
No doubt that Quran is as a manual book of guidance and as the book of ALLAH.
 Everything that are written in Quran is true.
 It is the guidance for all human being.
 It is the full life solution book.
 LOGICAL PROOF:
As the Quran was written down around 1400 years ago. But mostly things which are
mention in Quran, now become real in practical life.
For example: In many of the Surahs, ALLAH says about the context that (If you do good, you
get good and if you do bad, you get bad). like in Surah ‘An-Nisa- 57,122,124’ ‘Al-Maidah- 9’
‘Younus- 9’ etc.
Hence, this example proves that Quran is the book of guidance and book of ALLAH.

 SCIENTIFIC PROOF:
There are many scientific proofs in practical life about that, Quran is a book of
guidance.
For example:
1. ORIGIN OF LIFE: - Science told us that most of our body is consist of water.
And this is already mentioned in Quran. In Quran, ALLAH says: [we made
every living thing from water. Will they not believe?]. but science proved it after
so many years.
As it is, many facts found in Quran about;
2. IRON.
3. SKY PROTECTION.
4. EXPANSION OF UNIVERSE.
5. SUN’S ORBIT.
6. THE OCEAN etc.
 LINGUISTIC PROOF:
The Quran is in Arabic language and this language is still alive. The pronunciation of
Quran is also same as it was decided during the Reign of Hazrat Usman (R.A). And every word of
Quran has its own value. No one can find fault with any word of Quran
In the below example, about the linguistic miracle in Quran will be clearly explained.
For example:
In Surah ‘Al-Ahzab, Ayah 4’, ALLAH says that:

“ALLAH has not made for anyone two hearts inside one body”

 Here ALLAH used the word ( ) means specifically referring to men, not about
women. Because when women pregnant, she has two hearts.
 And ALLAH used the word ( ) means entire body, not mention about the
chest.
Hence, every word in Quran has its own science and value. And in the Arabic language,
there is no any type of doubt can produce, that it explains the meaning properly or not.
This is the big linguistic proof.
