Overall
What went really well during the event?
Our group worked very well together and everyone played their role in getting our event rolling and
completed. Before every intramural day in class, we would figure out the game we play. This allowed us to
be organized and prepared each day we went down, and for lots of fun to be played with the kids.
Our teamwork and organization allowed for us to be successful with our event
What setbacks or problems did you encounter during your event (planning and final product)? How did you and your group
overcome these challenges?
Some setbacks were trying to make sure the games we choose to play on Tuesdays with the grade ones
and twos were simple enough for them to understand, and required little organization, as due to their large
amounts of energy and difficulty for them to comprehend complex rules, games with higher levels of
organization are harder to play with them. So we had to make sure the rules of the games we played were
simple and easy to understand.
NOTES FOR FUTURE EVENT GROUPS- What would you do differently if you were to run your event again? What changes
would you implement to make it more successful?
Make sure to play simple games with the little kids, as it will be easier to keep them organized and they
will enjoy it much more. Remember to also get the kids running around very quickly as they are very
eager to get up and run around, as lunch break is their favourite time, so get them up and moving into the
game fast.
What were your specific roles and responsibilities during the event? How well did your group work together?
One of my roles was to fill out our reflection sheet about each day at ABE, writing down what game we
played the rules of the game and an overview of the day but It was a collaborative effort to complete the
sheet. I would also set up the games we would play, as well as organize the kids and explain the rules of
the games. But for our event all group members also took part in these roles as we all shared the effort
and worked together to get our tasks done, as we found it quite effective.
On the circle to the right draw ‘pie pieces’ that represent the amount
of work each person contributed in your group (including yourself).
Explain below why you feel like this is an accurate representation.
