Mathematics in Nature Proves Intelligent Design
1. Three things that I significantly learned from the video clips
Mathematics is everywhere. It may not be the most favorite and liked
subject by most of us but we cannot deny the fact that math greatly
influence our world. Even the nature can attest to that.
Mathematics provide symmetric and beautiful patterns in our environment
that we often not acknowledge like a leave pattern or seashell curves.
Mathematical intelligent patterns in our environment can be explain by
certain theories like self-similar theories and chaos theories.
2. Three things that are still unclear to me
How mathematical patterns are form in our environment like in leaf? Is
there scientific explanation for that?
How the chaos and self-similarity theory are related to the mathematical
patterns form in our environment?
How do we consider an intelligent mathematical pattern in our
environment? Is it always symmetrical?
3. I used to think that
Patterns found in our nature proves that mathematics is not just about
numbers, it gave intelligent design that we see like how ferns form its
shape. I used to think that numbers is just all about numbers, equations
and problem solving. Now, I realize that the beauty of mathematics is
diverse- it could also gave aesthetic beauties to our world by providing
intelligent patterns and designs.
4. Three things that I want to ask about the video clips
How are these intelligent designs found in our nature be useful for
everyone? Is there any practical use?
Aside from the leaves, shells and snow fractals mentioned or showed in
the video, what other natural patterns can be associated with math?
Can these mathematical patterns in nature be applied in other fields like
engineering, architecture etc.?
