Introduction:

In our country English is the name of fear. Basically from primary education to higher secondary stages,
we need to learn English grammar in a hard way. We often don’t feel interest on this and hence we just
memorize that without any proper understanding but only to overcome in the exams. But in India, a
close neighborhood of our country- the scenario is way different. Even a student from 3 rd grade can
speak in proper English without a little hesitation. Upon researching over the internet, we have
understood that the problem mainly lies in our educational system. Where the world prefers easy
methods to learn, we take the harder one. And the fear comes accordingly.

Here we try a simple initiative to overcome this fear. We have given an idea of implementing easy
English learning app for the children’s. Babies usually speak their first word after their first birthday. By
the time they turn two, their vocabulary expands to about 100 words. When they turn four, they have
conversation skills that are comparable to adults! We will follow a similar pattern as an English language
learner. In other words, the first step is often the hardest.

What is easy English?

What if the children of our country were fluent in English just like the Indian children? Why only the
students of English medium schools can speak in English? After all, we are far better position now in the
sector of primary education than any other neighborhood countries. Yes, better than India too. The
basics of our English are poor and so more or less we often feel shy and reserved when the situation
demands English.

Here we will develop the English skill of the children in 2 ways. Age level will also be maintained e.g.
toddlers can’t understand what is a banyan tree, but they can understand “A for Apple”.

1. Real life scenarios and example.

Suppose, a 1st grade student definitely know all the letters of English and what is a tiger as well. If we
describe the Aesop’s tiger fable to him with pictures and describes all the words one by one with proper
pronunciation and meanings he will definitely understand. Then we can describe an easy description of a
tiger by showing him a simple short informative video. That way the children get excited and feel
interest on it. This is just an example. We will use simple pictures, clip arts, videos (In house and third
party), cartoons, information. That way a children not only learns English but also acquires more
knowledge in a short time with easier method.
Target Market and the competitors:

Our target market is mainly the children’s. Because childhood is the right time to learn. But as we have
levels and sections, anyone can learn by using our application. We will categorized the levels and
sections as like this-

Level: Fundamental

Section 1: Toddlers and babies

Section 2: Recently school going children

Level: Beginner

Level: Basics

Level: Intermediate

Level: Expert

Currently there are no such competitors in our country but we have some from our neighborhood
countries. There’s Byju’s, Meritnation, Solo learn in India and Ingreesi Igunama, EdulLanka in Sri Lanka.
These are all very good but no one focuses exactly on English for the children. Our main target is local
children only and we have no such competitors.

Features:

The problem is that many beginners often struggle to find the right lessons for their learning style and
level. And even when they do find great lessons, those lessons usually only focus on a narrow part of the
English language. In our application, we will search for the whole internet and pick the easiest and the
best lessons for beginner English learners on a wide range of language skills.

This master list covers all the basic topics that any learner needs before going further into their English
learning journey. My previous partner described little about the fundamental levels of our application.
Now I am describing what is next?
In beginner level, we just give short idea about verbs and sentence structure only. We don’t think a
beginner requires more. Otherwise they will lose confidence. From Basic level to expert level, we will try
to focus these topics more and more in an easy and informative way:

We will also include graphic and plain text exercises at the end of every level. Learners will get a badge
upon completion of each level.

Benefits:

English is an international language and widely spoken. In business, export imports, garment sector,
sports, higher education, research, government duties, politics, remote job, trades and many more…
English is the compulsory to move further. The medium of study in our universities are English and thus
the student will also benefitted from this. And learning from the very beginning stage of life is worthy.
Moreover there are some other worthy benefits as well.

1. Boosts Your Employment Potential

Everyone has a limitation. We also have. Recently we have 4g connectivity in our country but not every
part of our entire country has this feature available. We also have hilly tracks where there is no or very
limited internet connectivity. Another well known term in our country is system loss. So we have
drawbacks. But we are hopeful that we can change the scenario. We will not only stick to the mobile
application, but also develop learning website and in near future we will trained up people to teach easy
English through a campaign where there is limited or no internet connectivity. Same procedure and
levels as the mobile application and website will be maintained all the way. We are also open for
suggestions. Everybody can take part in this by giving suggestions, improvement ideas, planning,
volunteering and content sharing.
