Christianity is the largest religion in the world. There are 2.
3 billion followers of Christianity in some
form worldwide. Christianity is based on the birth, life, crucifixion, resurrection and teaching of Jesus
Christ. Christianity began in the 1st century AD and started as a Jewish sect that quickly spread
throughout the Roman empire, and now throughout the entire world.
Religion Christianity is a monotheistic religion is only one God and this God created the heavens and the
earth. This devine being called God consist of three parts in Christianity there's a father there is a son
Jesus Christ and there's also the Holy Spirit. Also God had been used by Christians as it symbolizes this
belief in one God manifest in the three individuals. Jews and Christians are like follow the all the Old
Testament of the Bible but Christians also follow New testament. The New Testament Jesus was born to
a young Jewish virgin name Mary just south of Jerusalem which is now in modern day Palestine.
Christians belief that is consapption supernatural that got impregnated Mary through the Holy Spirit.
The early history of Christianity.
Christianity start around two thouthand years ago in Judea which is present Israel. And although the
Bible does contain stories of Jesus from childhood all the way to the ministry of Jesus as the Messiah
began in early 30s. That Jesus was not a Christian he didn't even write any portion of the Bible. Jesus
was a Jew the term Christian was not even used at that time. He observed Jesus faith and was

denominations that is a lot. this means that we cannot look at Christianity as one singular religion but as
many different division and sects companied. We can divide Christianity into three main branches.
Christianity had some major theological disputes and disagreements that resulted in three main
branches to emerge. The first branches the Roman Catholic Church the second branches and Eastern
Orthodox churches and the third is a protestant churches.
The Roman Catholic Church is the largest Christian church with approximately 1.3 billion Catholic
worldwide. Catholic Church the oldest continuously functioning international institution. the church is
headed by the Bishop of Rome known as the pope and the ruling of the popes for the papacy is he old is
continuing absolute monarchy in the entire world. This church is located in the Vatican city which is an
enclave within the city of Rome and Italy. Demotion this church is also a business. But the Catholic
Church handles billions of dollars. And almost certain that it has many national governments. In the
year 2013 economy is calculated that the Catholic Church in America alone had $170 billion in terms of
annual operating budget.
Orthodox Church
Orthodox Church has approximately 200, 000,000 to 260,000,000 members meeting at the second
largest single Christian denominations by the Catholic Church. It's made up of a number of self
governing churches. Churches also unite in faith by a common approach and theology tradition and
worship. And a drawn elements of you know Greek Middle Eastern as well as Russia and slap cultures.
The Orthodox Church differs from Catholicism in its refusal to pay allegiance to the pulp.
The protestant churches
The protestant churches it's the second largest form of Christianity with more than 900 million followers
worldwide which is nearly 40% of all Christian. Now it is originated in the 16 century reformation. Now
this is reformation movement was against the perceived errors in the Roman Catholic Church. So in
other words they protest it against certain Catholic church. It so name Protestant or protestant if you
well. And denominations do not form a single church like the Orthodox Church but the Protestant
churches emphasize the importance of reading the Bible for yourself and really emphasize the doctrine
of salvation by faith not that you have to work your way up to being saved.

The Christianity has left its mark and we do have some holidays to remember what Christianity was all

then there is Easter that celebrates to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus from the great. Easter is
a spring holiday and it immediately preceded by holy week which includes Palm Sunday, Monday,
Thursday and Good Friday. The 40 days prior to Easter form the lent season, which is a time of fasting
and repentance. And of course we have the Christmas holiday which is probably not just the biggest
holiday for Christians but the biggest holiday in the world. Not a holiday does celebrate the birth of
Jesus, however, there was no specific birthday of Jesus mentioned in the Bible and many scholars do
estimate that Jesus was born sometime in the fall season. However Christmas is celebrated on
December 25.
