Explanation of The Process

The document outlines the process of extracting and refining ore from rocks. Excavators extract ore rocks which are crushed and ground in primary and secondary crushers and mills. The ground ore undergoes froth flotation where chemicals are added to separate waste from products. Vibrating screens further separate the mixtures, with waste sent to thickeners and water recycled. Final products are extracted by ore sorting machines.

EXPLANATION OF THE PROCESS

1. Excavators extract ore from rocks

2. Ore rocks are transferred to feed hoppers via mining truck
3. Belt conveyer is used to transfer ore rocks to primary crusher where ore is crushed
4. Crushed ore is again stored in feed hopper and then transferred to SAG Mill via pipe under
gravity for primary grinding
5. Grinded ore moves to ball mill by gravity where it is further grinded
6. Grinded ore is transferred to froth flotation tanks by gravity where ore and water are mixed
7. Mixture of ore, water and some chemicals is transferred to slurry pumps
8. Slurry pumps transfer ore water mixture to hydro-cyclones cluster
9. Underflow from cyclones is fed back to ball mill
10. Cyclone overflow is transferred to vibrating screens where mixture of products and waste
are separated
11. Waste is fed to thickener via conveyer belt where waste solids and water are separated
12. Water from thickener is fed back to froth flotation tanks by gravity
13. Waste from thickener is sent to waste collectors where it can be stored and used for other
purposes
14. Fine grained product from vibration screens is sent to ore sorting machines via
gravity/conveyer belt where product is divided into different categories according to their
masses
15. Final products are extracted from ore sorting machines
