Look at these examples: I cut my hair once a month (I do it myself)


I have my hair cut once a month (somebody does it for me, the hairdresser)
The second construction is passive in meaning. It describes situations where we want someone else to do
something for us.
Structure: subject + have + object + past participle

Present simple The mechanic repairs Peter’s car Peter has his car repaired
Present continuous The mechanic is repairing Peter’s car Peter’s having his car repaired
Past simple The mechanic repaired Peter’s car Peter had his car repaired
Past continuous The mechanic was repairing Peter’s car Peter was having his car repaired
Present Perfect The mechanic has repaired Peter’s car Peter has had his car repaired
Past Perfect The mechanic had repaired Peter’s car Peter had had his car repaired
Future Simple The mechanic will repair Peter’s car Peter will have his car repaired
Modal verb The mechanic can repair Peter’s car Peter can have his car repaired
Going to The mechanic’s going to repair Peter’s car Peter’s going to have his car repaired

REWRITE THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES USING THE STRUCTURE HAVE SOMETHING DONE
