INTRODUCTION
This machine is one of the most highly perfected on the market. It ensures
thorough washing through mechanical, thermal and chemical processes.
Please carefully consult this manual to ensure its correct operation in order
that you obtain full satisfaction. You should follow the advice given in this
document, which we have written for your benefit.
Before using your washer, you should become fully acquainted with it and
learn how to use it properly so that it will give you many years of service.

5. THE BASKETS
1. SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
All personnel that use or maintain this machine should be trained in every aspect of its
proper care and operation. This training should include selecting and running the proper
wash cycle, loading and unloading of the racks and baskets, handling of cleaning
chemicals, and decontamination after a faulty cycle.
All personnel working with toxic chemicals and vapors, which may be used in this
machine, must have comprehensive instructions in the relevant health hazards and
methods to detect the escape of toxic chemicals.
Training of user and maintenance personnel must be conducted regularly and made
available to all required personnel before use.
Please consult this manual for assistance with all aspects of the operation of this
machine.
This machine uses detergent (caustic) and acid additives with elevated (95°C)
temperatures in the chamber during the different phases of the wash cycle. Opening the
door during the wash cycle can cause EXPOSURE TO HIGH TEMPERATURES
AND HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS AND VAPORS.
Items that have been washed should be allowed to cool after a successful wash cycle
before handling them to avoid exposure to HIGH TEMPERATURES.
If the wash chamber door is opened during the wash, the wash cycle is stopped and is
considered unsuccessful. The machine will return to its initial state. The wash cycle
should be restarted using the steps contained in this manual (see page 22).
If the machine goes into an alarm condition, the wash cycle is stopped and is considered
unsuccessful. The machine will return to its initial state. Resolve the problem then
restart the cycle (see page 22).
Pull the handle towards you and lower the door to the horizontal position.
For the washers equipped with door locking system, the door will automatically unlock
when the power is switched on . If the washer is already on, push button and
then pull the handle.
Both chamber filters are necessary to large contaminants from entering the plumbing
circuit.
4. CLEANING CHEMICALS
NON-FOAMING DETERGENT
Using the correct non-foaming detergent is required for proper cleaning in this machine.
The non-foaming detergent must be matched to remove the contamination source in
order to ensure satisfactory washing.
NEUTRALIZING ACID
Using the correct non-foaming neutralizing acid is required for proper cleaning in this
machine. The non-foaming neutralizing acid must be matched to remove the detergent
source in order to ensure satisfactory washing.
After the new cleaning chemical have been installed, it will be necessary to adjust the
chemical dosing times in all applicable steps of the wash cycle in order to match the
formulation of the new cleaning chemicals.
This message is displayed when the chemical bottles are almost empty.
W A R N I N G
L A C K O F C H E M I C .
It is necessary to fill or change the detergent or acid containers to continue the cycle.
Use the necessary protection for the chemical to be changed (gloves, mask, safety
glasses…) .
Unscrew the cap(s) from the empty chemical bottle(s) and take out the chemical suction
tube(s).
Unscrew the cap(s) from the full chemical bottle(s) and insert the chemical suction
tube(s). Tighten the cap(s) to secure the chemical suction tube in place.
Dispose of used chemical bottles or caps according to local and company regulations.
Please consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for specific information regarding the
chemicals used in the washer.
5. THE BASKETS
SOME EXAMPLES
Note : The "PS" should only be positioned at the bottom level of the washer chamber
where washing action is provided by the lower spray arm. The "PSB" can be positioned
on any level.
In the case of washing items with small diameter openings such as volumetric flasks, it
is very important that the flow rate of the injectors used must be lower than the flow
capacity of the flasks to be washed in order to avoid a gradual filling of the flasks during
the washing cycle. If the diameter of the opening is too small to allow the water to
escape from around the injector the mechanical action of the injector can be absorbed by
the water contained in the glassware giving poor cleaning results. It is imperative to use
baskets with injectors of proper diameter and, above all, to secure lightweight items with
a "GC" or "GCI" hold down screen.
You should only use baskets that are suitable for the parts to be washed. When your
washer is put into service, our technicians will give you useful advice on the best way to
load the racks relative to the items to be washed.
When several racks are used simultaneously on the different levels, only one rack should
be pulled out of chamber on the door and the runners at a time.
SETTING UP
You will get the launching procedure of a washing cycle and the manipulations to do at the
start and the end of cycle.

CLEANING METHOD :
We recommend the use of a product specifically designed for cleaning stainless steel.
The product must be applied with a soft cloth. It is very important to apply the cleaner
in the direction of the grain of the panels to avoid scratching. Drying the machine is best
performed using a squeegee or similar device to avoid the drops or spots that can be left
by a cloth.
CLEANING PRODUCTS :
Detergents, soaps :
Many products are commercially available to clean stainless steel, however, they must
not contain chlorinate.
Abrasive powders :
These products may scratch stainless steel surfaces and modify the appearance. They
can, nevertheless, be useful on dirt that is difficult to remove.
Acid products :
CHAPTER 4 MAINTENANCE 42
820 LX / UTILIZATION
It is possible to find products made of phosphoric or nitric acid which are especially
made to clean stainless steel. It is very important to strictly adhere to the chemical
manufacturer's recommendations.
Chlorinated disinfectants can only be used in a very diluted formulation with cold
water, reduced contact time, and abundant rinsing.
