Considering Splicing of Bars X 25 150 MM or 0.40 M 6 - 0.40 5.60 M 341.70 / 5.60 X 1.05 64.07 Pcs 10mm Ø X 6m RSB

This document provides calculations for determining the number of reinforcing steel bars (RSB) needed for a project. It first calculates the splicing length as 400mm by using a formula that multiplies the bar diameter of 10mm by 25 and adds 150. It then calculates the net length of each RSB by subtracting the splicing length from the available bar length of 6m, giving a net length of 5.60m. Finally, it divides the total longitudinal bar length needed of 341.70m by the net RSB length and includes a 5% wastage factor to determine 64.07 pieces of 10mm diameter x 6m long RSBs are needed.

Considering Splicing of bars

Splicing length = ( Bar diameter x 25 ) + 150

Splicing length = ( 10 x 25 )+ 150
Splicing length = 400 mm or 0.40 m
RSB Net length = RSB available length - splicing length
RSB Net length = 6 - 0.40 = 5.60 m
pcs of RSB = ( Longitudinal bars total length/ Net RSB length ) x Wastage Factor
= 341.70 / 5.60 x 1.05
= 64.07 pcs 10mm ø x 6m RSB
