1. Which subject received the most votes?
Answers
1. Math
2. 20 votes
3. D
4. Grape
5. True
2. How many total votes were collected?
3. Look at the Bar Graph “Students Grades”.
Which grade did the smallest number of
students get?
4. According to this circle graph, what is the
least popular flavour of Jolly Rancher?
5. 100 is the total percent of a pie or a circle
graph. (True or False)
Okay class, do you have any questions
regarding our topic last meeting? None Ma’am!
B. Establishing a Motivation:
purpose for the Let’s watch this short video before we

examples/instance video, you have to observe and take down
of the new lesson some important notes.

That’s right!
Okay! So be with me this morning class,
as I discuss to you about Measures of
Central Tendency of Ungrouped Data.
There are three Measure of Central
Tendency and these are the Mean, Median
and Mode.
C. Discussing new
concepts and Ungrouped Data is data given as
practicing new individual data points.

ungrouped data?
Very good.
Take a look at these picture.
What can you tell us about these numbers? Ma’am it tells us the test scores of Abby in
Math.
Mean is the numerical average of the data set.
The most commonly used measure of central
tendency.
The formula of finding the mean:
Mean=
∑ of all values
Total number of values
Let’s find Abby’s MEAN math test score?
97, 84, 88, 100, 95, 63, 73, 86, 97
So, we will use the formula for finding the
mean or average:
What is the formula of Mean?
Mean=
∑ of all values
Total number of values
Very good!
Using the formula, let us now substitute the
values given,
97+84 +88+100+95+ 63+73+86+ 97
Mean=
9
783 Ma’am
What is the sum of all values?
That’s right!
783
Mean=
9
Mean=87
The mean or average of Abby’s Math test
score is 87.
Median is the number that is in the middle of
a set of data.
To find the median, we follow this two steps.
1. Arrange the numbers in the data set in order
from least to greatest.
2. Then find the number that is in the middle.
Find the median of Abby’s math test scores.
97, 84, 88, 100, 95, 63, 73, 86, 97
Applying the steps,
63, 73, 84, 86, 88, 95, 97, 97, 100
Can someone arrange the given scores from
least to greatest?
Very good! Now, what number is in the 88 Ma’am.
middle?
That’s right! Therefore, the median of Abby’s
test score is 88.
Ma’am, how about when two numbers are in
Is there any question about the median? the middle, how do we find the median?
Good question! If two numbers are in the
middle, add the two numbers then divide it by
two.
Find the median: 63, 73, 84, 88, 95, 97, 97, 100
97, 84, 88, 100, 95, 63, 73, 97 88+95 183
= =91.5
2 2
The median is 91.5
Mode is the piece of data that occurs most
frequently in the data set.
A set of data can have:
One mode
More than one mode
No mode
Find the mode of Abby’s math test scores.
97, 84, 88, 100, 95, 63, 73, 86, 97
What is the mode of Abby’s test scores? The mode is 97 Ma’am.
Are you sure? Yes Ma’am. The value 97 appears twice while
all the other numbers appear just once.
Very well said!
