INTRODUCTION
This study aims to find out whether it is practical and profitable to distribute
and produce Inuyat here in Gerona. Production of inuyat here in tarlac is seasonal
from September to April. Here in Tarlac, tagapulot is made in a pure
sugarcane(tubo). The Tagapulot, also known as Inuyat in tagalog, is a native
sweetener in the Philippines. Just like sugar, Inuyat is made from the juice of sugar
cane except it is cooked until it turns brown and they are transfer in to the cans.
In barangay Danzo, Gerona, Tarlac runs a family business wherein they make
Inuyat. During early years in making inuyat in Gerona they use carabao to make the
machine work in the squeezing process. Making tagapulot(panutsa) starts during the
Spanish time here in Tarlac and it is one of their way to raise their family. Their
business inuyat making started in early 2000 when they had more than enough sugar
canes to be delivered to their retailers or consumers. They thought of something that
they can do with the excess sugar canes, and they end up making Inuyat.
Inuyat is usually used in making rice cakes and it also used for sugarcane jam,
that is very famous dessert in the Philppines. But it takes few hours to make it. Using
the nectar of the sugar cane, you can make a Inuyat. The nectar of the sugar cane is
boiled until its texture become thick and sticky and then they transfer it into a can and
wait it until it dries. This is the reason why we would like to have this to study, to
have a better knowledge on the process of making Inuyat and think of something to
improve to their production time and have a good quality in making Inuyat.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
They start by preparing the raw material (sugar cane) and they put it in a
squeezing machine. The juice will then travel through a pipe into the washbasin. After
the washbasin has been full, they will put it in a filtering machine to remove the
excess dirt from it. Next is they will cook the nectar of the sugar cane in a big
casserole (kawa) until it becomes sticky (semi thick). After it has been cooked, they
will transfer it into another clean and huge basin with coconut oil and after a few
minutes they transfer the cooked sugar cane into a can and they put it in the cooling
area until it will cool and ready to sell to their distributors.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
This chapter presents the summary of the research, conclusion, and recommendations
of the researchers regarding the topic ventured. The researchers summarized the study
in order for the readers to answer the problems regarding the topic of this research
while recommendations are for the development of the present status about the topic
presented.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
The salient findings of the study are as follows:
1. What are the causes that affect their slow production time of Inuyat?
Because it’s a family business, they are not very strict when it
comes to talking with each other during working hours. They have lack
of workers, who are also their family member.
2. What are the alternative ways that they can do in order to make their
production time faster?
There are only two members of the family who are helping in making
Inuyat. They operate the machine one at a time. It is very time
consuming because if they are not yet done with the first process, they
will not going to the next step. They’re only two members they need to
work harder that they can do.
3. How does modernization of machines help the organization in making their
product become high quality?
When we went to their work place, we saw that their machines
are too old and some of the tools are only made by them. It is also one
of the reasons why the process of their production is very time-
consuming.
Conclusion
1. They are having a hard time setting their family business and their family
bonding apart that is why the production time of their product is slow.
2. Having only family members working in making Inuyat, is one of the
reasons why their production time is slow. Other family members are just
cleaning the work place.
3. Because they are using old machines, the quality of their product is being
affected. It is also the reason why it takes time in making Inuyat.
RECOMMENDATION
1. They need to set a time for their family business and their family bonding.
In that case, their production time will not be affected and because their
work will be faster, they can double their finished product in a day and
they will have more time for them to have family bonding.
2. Other family members who are cleaning the work place can help in
making Inuyat. They can appoint two or three people per process and they
will also be the ones cleaning their station so that the production time will
be faster and also more inuyat will be made.
3. They can buy new machines or make a machine that can squeeze the sugar
cane and filter its nectar at the same time. It will be convenient for them
because the process will be faster and they will only need two family
members working instead of four. Also, because of the new machine, the
product will be more quality especially the texture and cleanliness of
Inuyat.
