3.3. Design of T-Beam

This document summarizes the design of a simply supported T-beam. Key details include: 1) The beam has a clear span of 6.25m, flange width of 1.69m, and overall depth of 1.85m. 2) Reinforcement includes 6 bars of 20mm diameter in the bottom and 3 bars of 12mm diameter at the top. 3) Calculations show the beam has adequate strength to resist the total service load of 41kN/m and shear capacity. 4) Deflection checks find the total deflection of 0.01788m is less than the allowable of 0.01875m, so the beam passes the serviceability
