New Forest Health Spa
A The use of water to improve our health has been around for centuries. The Romans had their bathhouses. Turkey
is famous for its steam baths and, in Japan, stressed city workers regularly travel out of town at weekends to relax at the
natural hot water baths.
B Now you too can enjoy the health benefits from water. Thousands of people from a variety of backgrounds have
been attracted to our award-winning spa since it opened in 2002, but they all have one thing in common – they need time
to concentrate on relaxing both mind and body.
C One of our most popular facilities is the Hydrotherapy Bath. Similar to a jacuzzi, water shoots out of the bottom
and sides of the bath to help you to feel relaxed. As your body temperature increases in the hot water, your blood flows
more easily, which can prevent you from getting sick. On request, we can fill your bath with mineral water for even
greater benefits to your skin.
D If you are tired of the noise and activity that fill your daily life, then try our Floating Pool Experience. You lie
quietly in a shallow pool of warm salt water in a dark room with nothing but silence around you. Your one hour in this
pool will give you the same rest as four hours’ sleep.
E If you are worried about dry, hard skin then try our Sea Salt Bath. We will cover your body with salt from the
Dead Sea and leave you to lie quietly in a steam room for an hour. Our Cleopatra Bath is the ultimate body luxury. Full
of warm horse’s milk, the bath leaves your skin feeling like silk. However, three thirty-minute sessions are recommended
for the full benefits to be felt.
F Finally, you cannot leave our spa without trying Watsu. As you lie in a warm pool, an expert will gently move and
stretch your body into different positions that are not possible on land. This experience can make your body stronger and
remove stress.
G For those of you familiar with the area, you will know that our spa is set in the most beautiful part of the New
Forest. We offer five-star accommodation and a luxury restaurant. Active guests will be amazed by our indoor swimming
pool, gym, grass tennis courts and horse riding facilities. If you are keen on a morning run or fond of cycling, you can use
our beautiful gardens or the nearby forest. Everyone is welcome to get involved in our daily exercise classes.
H Our spa weekend begins each Friday at 2p.m. with afternoon tea and ends at midday on Sunday. The price is £350
per person including room, all meals and the use of our facilities. Please note there will be an additional cost for those
interested in hiring sports equipment.
