Program Title:
Diabetes Education Training for Registered Nurses, Registered Nutritionists-Dietitians and Allied Health Care
Professionals.
Program Description:
The Diabetes Edcation training (DET) Program is a comprehensive 14-day training. It covers basic and clinical
knowledge on diabetes and its complications including screening, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological
management. Also included is one (1) day Diabetes Conversation Map (DCM) facilitator's training conducted by DCM
Expert Trainer for Philippines and four (4) hours exposure to clinics and diabetes club visits.
The DET Program prepares registered nurses, nutritionist-dietitians , and allied healthcare professionals for advanced
diabetes educator's roles such as preparing them to be collaborative colleagues in diabetes healthcare delivery,
planning, policy making and directing of diabetes health education and care.
The program utilized theories, concept , and principle such as basic science on Diabetes and Diabetes Education,
multidisciplinary approach in care. The training includes research modules to inculcate the important role of research and
the use of evidence based practice in the diabetes education and care. Furthermore, the training emphasizes practice
thru demonstration, hands-on and return demonstration focusing on skills development. The training is designed for
specialization in the field of diabetes education and care. The primary learning contents focus on three major themes
which are consistent with the philosophy for the post graduate program: critical systematic inquiry, professional and
personal development and management on information and resources in rapidly changing healthcare environment.

The diabetes educator-trainees must complete the five (5) training modules of the program. They need to pass the
comprehensive written and oral examinations and have to complete the DET post didactic requirements within three (3)
months after the end of the 14-day training.
Registration Fee and Its Inclusions
The Training Registration Fee - PHP 15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Pesos)
Inclusion of the Training Fee:
> Certificate of Attendance for attending the didactic part of the training
> Certificate of Completion after completing the post didactic requirements (Issued during Oath Taking and
Pinning Ceremony Only, During Annual Convention of PADE and/or ADNEP)
> Membership to ADNEP (RNs) for the current year; renewal every ADNEP General Assembly (January)
> Membership to PADE (RNDs and allied health professionals) for the current year; renewal every PADE and
ADNEP Joint Annual Convention (August)
> Lunch for the duration of the training
> Detailed resource materials and handouts
How to REGISTER
Step 1: Check your Qualifications
> Bachelor of Science Graduate
> Registered Health Care Professional by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) of the Republic of
the Philippines or its equivalent
> With at least 3 months related work experience
> Member of Accredited Professional Organization (APO) or its equivalent
Examples: Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) for Nurses, Nutritionist Dietitians Association of the
Philippines (NDAP) for Nutritionist Dietitians, Philippine Dental Association (PDA) for Dentists
STEP 2: Pay the NON-REFUNDABLE RESERVATION FEE of PHP 3,000.000

The remaining PHP 12,000.00 should be paid on the first or second day of the training
For sponsored participants, please coordinate directly with the sponsoring company so payment can be made at
specified deadline
STEP 3: Submit necessary documentary requirements before the set deadline of registration
> Copy of the deposit slop if reservation fee was deposited at the bank
> Accomplished training registration form with latest picture
> Photocopy of latest PRC License ID
> Certificate of clinical experience to be issued by employer or agency where the clinical / work practice took
place
> Photocopy of membership ID of your APO
> Photocopy of membership ID of your APO

STEP 4: Wait for the confirmation of your reservation
Once we received all the pertinent documents we will be sending a confirmation via email, call or text message informing
