METHOD STATEMENT OF GROUT COLUMN

SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS

1. After setting out the pile position by Surveyor, the drilling rig will be moved to the pile position intended for boring.

2. The verticality of grout column will be controlled by and checked by means of a spirit level. Adjustment should be
made so as to enable the auger to be as vertical as possible.

3. An 250mm diameter continuous flight auger will be to drill the bored hole.

4. The auger is then lowered and boring operation commenced.

5. Excavation of the hole shall be continued until the required depth.

6. After reaching the required depth, a 32mm diameter tremie hose will be lowered to the bottom of the borehole.

7. Cement grout of water cement ratio of 0.6 (G15) will be mixed and pump through the tremie hose.

8. The grouting operation will be ceased when the bored hole is filled with cement grout.
