REFLECTION
The importance of localized materials in my life as a
student makes me appreciate the beauty of our own. I don’t
have to buy expensive products just to look classy in front of
everyone but because there is a lot of it made with the hands
of talented Filipino’s using localized materials. There are
great advantages of having localized materials implemented
or adopted on our educational system. They represent a
range of products that can be used to extend the range of
vicarious experience of learners in a teaching-learning
situation. Especially paper that is made of wood it is the best
tool for schools because it can be used in many ways. For
example, students can use it to take notes on the teachers
lesson, and as the teacher can use paper for handouts and
homework. Paper is not only used for school, it can be used
for other things. It is the process of relating learning content
specified in the curriculum to local information and
materials from the learners community. It can also help us
student to create beautiful art using localized materials.
Every material brings something special to the creative
process and the finished work. The use of local materials and
products is important to create a sense of belonging, an
emotional relationship between our people and our spaces.
This level of engagement which makes people feel
comfortable at work, having an impact on humans well-
being. The importance of this localized materials, is creating
an effective and efficient future for the us students who can
build this Nation stronger and better.
