Standing in front of you all, I would like to deliver my speech about bullying.
Ladies and gentleman,
Bullying is a topic that has been exercised and entertained millions of times and yet still remains a hot
topic and causes death among teenagers and also depression in the work place. So, what is the
definition of bullying?
The definition of bullying is when an individual or group of people with more power, repeatedly and
intentionally cause hurt to another person or group of people who feel helpless to respond. Have you
ever been bullied? Has it happened to your friends?
Some people think that bullying is just a stage, a normal part of life. However, fact is-bullying is not a
“normal” or socially acceptable behavior. We give bullies power by our acceptance of this behaviors. The
cause of bullying can such as people feel strong, powerful, rich, and have everything. It happens
coincidentally, he saw the weakness of others.
Ladies and gentleman,
There are many form of bullying;
1. Physical bullying, for example pulling hair, hitting, poking and many more.
2. Bullying is emotional, like rejecting, terrorizing, and any discrimination based on disability, and
ethnicity or religion.
3. Verbal bullying, provide the name calling, taunting, and gossiping
Last sexual bullying for example exhibitionism, committed fornication, and sexual abuse.
And there are still many kind of bully that happened around us. Just look around you, a lot of
bullying activities that have taken place, at school, at home and sometimes also can occur
anywhere.
Ok, we go on to the next topic. The topic is the effect of bullying. Bullying can effects everyone who
involved. Those who are bullied, those who bully and the by standers.
People who are bullied might feel anxious, depressed, lonely or insecure and feel like crying a lot.
Feel angry and wonder why this is happening to them. Feel afraid to go to anywhere. Think the
problem, is relentless and wonder if it will never stop.
People who frequently bully others are more likely to feel disconnected from school and dislike
school. Get into fight and leave school early.
People who witness bullying may be reluctant to attend school. Feel fearful or powerless to act and
feel guilty for to not act.
Some people that have been bullied all their life decided to leave their old life because they don’t
appreciate it and commit suicide. Bullying is so bad that it is the bullies who need to change.
Before saying or doing something ask yourself – is this going to make someone feel better? Is it
going to enhance the quality of their life?
What is inside of us that makes us think that putting someone down is going to increase our worth
value and makes us look more liked and important?
Don’t define yourself trough the misfortunes of other – because if that is the description by which
you are defining yourself you are not just at risk of becoming a bully to others but you are also at
risk of becoming a bully to yourself!
Be the change you want to see today. Because the best time to make a differences is RIGHT NOW!
I think that’s all me speech, for any mistake in my speech I really apologize. Thanks for the attention.
Wassalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.
