ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Above all, the researchers, would like to thank God for being their stronghold
to successfully finish this research. He has been their strength and motivation to
overcome the problems or obstacles that have hindered them to complete this.
They are fortunate for their teachers for they have been truly a great help in
completing this research paper. To Ms. Marissa Cadano, their General Chemistry II
Instructor, for supporting them and trusting their capabilities to do this research. To
Ms. Marie Antoinette Cruz as their Inquiries, Investigation and Immersion subject
teacher, for helping them from the day they started this research to the end. To Sir
John Albert Jerusalem as their Work Immersion Instructor for always suggesting
improvements in this research.
They also would like to show their gratitude to each of their own families for
being understanding and considerate. This research was able to withstand all
circumstances with their families as motivation. They really appreciate the Corpuz
family for their hospitality and efforts. They have provided them more than what they
need in order to finish this research.
They also would like to thank the residents of Cainta, Rizal for being
cooperative throughout this research; they have truly played a vital role.
They also would like to show their appreciation to their classmates in
STEM401. Each and every one of them was stressed out with each of their own
research papers but still, they have managed to smile amidst the problems. Their

section has been wanting to give up since the beginning but never found the will to do
so. They are the manifestation of the saying, “I can and I will.” Thank you, STEM401.
Finally, without the researchers, this research is nothing. They would like to
congratulate themselves for being able to finish this research. This is only one of the
things they are able to conquer as a group. There are more to come and yet, they still
won’t be easily discouraged no matter the difficulty.

This study aspires to create a hand soap out of lemongrass extract. The
researchers used lemongrass extract because it possesses qualities that qualify for
an anti-bacterial hand soap. The researchers decided on a tablet-sized soap for it to
promote convenience as well. The feasibility study is done through distributing

questionnaires to the respondents. The respondents are chosen randomly in STI
College Ortigas-Cainta. Based on their classification, they are asked to answer the
questionnaire pertaining to their preferred kind of hand soap. The responses showed
results that hand soaps should give proper effects on the skins of people using it.
These results indicate that hand soaps should be suitable to all ages and that it should
help provide the skin the cleansing it needs. On this basis, it is recommended that
hand soap products give proper treatment on the consumers’ skins. Further research
could be undertaken to identify factors that would be helpful to aid development of a
better hand soap product.
