As we know, Internet demand has been important worldwide because internet help in making
life easier as well work done easier. Without internet we cannot imagine our daily activities
possible. Now a day’s internet are used in every field like banking, shopping mart, hospitals,
industries, etc. Any marketing that uses electronic devices to convey promotional messaging and
measure its impact. In practice, internet marketing typically refers to marketing campaigns that
appear on a computer, phone, tablet, or other device. It can take many forms, including online
video, display ads, and social media posts. Internet marketing is often compared to “traditional
marketing” such as magazine ads, billboards, and direct mail. Oddly, television is usually lumped
in with traditional marketing. Internet marketing is an all-inclusive term for marketing products
and services online. This includes a variety of methods and platforms for communicating with
customers, such as website, email, social media, and online advertising. Internet marketing refers
to the strategies used to market products and services online and through other digital means.
These can include a variety of online platforms, tools, and content delivery systems, such as:
 Website content and design
 Email marketing
 Social media
 Video/podcasting
 Online ads
 Sponsorships and paid promotions

While internet marketing's apparent purpose is to sell goods and services, or advertising over the
internet, it's not the only reason a business will do it. A company may be marketing online to
communicate a message about itself (building its brand) or to conduct research. Online marketing
can also be an effective way to identify a target market, discover a marketing segment's wants and
needs, build long-term relationships with customers, or establish authority and expertise within an
industry. Internet marketing uses customers' online activity to connect them with a business by
reaching them in a variety of places on the internet. The types of internet marketing a business
uses will depend on the business model, types of products, target customers, budget, and more.
The significance of the internet as a marketing tool can be summarized in the given points.

Internet Marketing Is Inexpensive: Marketing products through a physical retail outlet is much
more expensive than marketing them on the Internet. The recurring costs of property maintenance
and rental are not relevant to Internet marketing.

Internet Marketing Allows for Convenient Store Hours: Without having to worry about overtime
payments to workers or opening hours, Internet marketing gives you the freedom to keep your
enterprise open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Clients will also find it incredibly convenient
to shop for your services and products on the Internet on their own schedule.

Internet Marketing Provides a Customized Advertising Approach: By building a profile of your

customers’ preferences and buying history, Internet marketing enables you to personalize offers
for them. You can make targeted offers that are a true reflection of their interests by tracking the
product information and webpages that potential customers visit.

Internet Marketing Provides a Way to Really Build Relationships: When it comes to increasing
client retention levels and building relationships with consumers, the Internet is a crucial
platform. By sending a follow up email to thank the consumer and confirm a transaction, you can
start the relationship out on the right foot when they make a purchase from your online store.

Internet Marketing Allows You to Reach More People: You can overcome all barriers of distance
by using marketing on the Internet. Without setting up local stores, you can sell products in any
part of the nation, or even beyond. This widens your target market significantly. Plus, without
opening a network of distributors in various countries, you can build an export company.
2. What approaches can be used to develop an internet marketing strategy?

Every company needs to develop a logical framework for its operations as to meet its business
objectives. The overall business objectives need to be broken to milestones, the company has to
achieve within a certain time frame. To achieve these milestones, companies need to develop
strategies around the key activities. An internet marketing strategy building begins with
understanding the current market scenario. After analyzing market scenario, companies develop
marketing plan and specific internet related objectives. To achieve internet channel objectives,
companies develop the internet marketing plan. After developing and defining internet marketing
plan, the next step is to analyze the online presence of the company. The company can start
working towards implementation of marketing strategy, if it already has an online presence.

The approaches that can be used to develop an internet marketing strategy are:

Search engine optimization (SEO): Search engine optimization, or SEO, is an umbrella term used
to describe a number of strategies that boost your rankings in search results for keywords and
phrases related to your business. SEO is an effective online marketing strategy that’s essential for
any business to succeed online, and can result in an extremely high return on your investment.

Search Advertisement: Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or search advertising, appears on search engine

result page, where the advertise pays only when someone click on their ads. Pay-per-click
(PPC) is a popular online advertising model. With PPC, marketers bid for placement in a search
engine’s sponsored links for specific keywords and phrases. If your bid is among the highest for
any given keyword, your ad will appear above organic search results when users type that
keyword into the search bar.

Content Marketing: Content marketing is one of the most effective ways to generate new leads
online .It involves creating infographics, blog posts, eBooks, guides, and other original content.
You can also use visual content like photos and videos to give people an inside look at your
business. Content marketing positions your company as an authority in your field, and people will
be more likely to want to learn about your products after reading a helpful piece of content you
created.
Social Media: Maintaining a presence on social media platforms can help your company connect
with current and potential customers, making it a must-use online marketing strategy. You can
use social media to engage users, provide them with helpful information about your business, and
develop relationships that encourage them to purchase. If anyone has questions about your
business, they can contact you directly on social media, and you can help them take the next steps
with your company.

Email Marketing: Email is a great way to keep in contact with current and potential customers
and provide them with updates so they can stay in the know about your business.

Video Marketing: Many times, your video is the first point of interaction between your business
and potential customers. This means that it needs to make a great first impression. Great web
design can help your business reach more customers and earn more revenue online. A sleek
design and navigation can improve user experience on your site and make it easy for visitors to
find the information they need to become customers.

Influencer Marketing: With influencer marketing, you can connect with high-profile people
online and have them share information about your products with their followers. In other words,
influencer marketing allows you to build relationships that can help you attract loyal customers.

Affiliate Marketing: Affiliate marketing involves earning a commission by promoting a product

or service made by another retailer or advertiser. It is a monetization model where an affiliate
partner, which is you, is rewarded a payout for providing a specific result to the retailer or
advertiser. Affiliate programs are usually free to join, so you don’t have to worry about high
startup costs. Done well, this performance-based opportunity can go from side hustle to
profitable online business idea by netting you a healthy income.
3. You are a newly installed marketing manager in a company selling products in the
business-to-business sector. Currently, the company has only a limited website
containing electronic versions of its brochures. You want to convince the directors of the
benefits of investing in the website to provide more benefits to the company. How would
you present your case?

As I am a marketing manager of the company selling my products in this business to business

sector I would like to convince the directors to choose social media because as we all know
social media is a great platform for the marketing where billion of people join the social media
like Facebook Instagram, twitter, etc. where the you can sell the product easily by posting the
photos videos. Social Media Marketing is one of those things that fills a lot of business owners
with dread. We know we should be doing it, we may even enjoy it at first, but at some point it
becomes overwhelming, infuriating, frustrating, and even worrying. Managing your social media
can be a major time-suck which commands a huge amount of resources, and there’s always this
nagging feeling that it’s not working as well as it should.

The some benefits investing in the social media are:

Planning: At its core, social media is nothing more than content marketing. It’s a different form
of content to blogging or vlogging, but it often utilizes your blogs, podcasts, videos and other
content, and has forms of content completely unique to the social sphere (Internet memes, for
example, are the love child of social media). The key to any form of content marketing, whether
it’s blogging, vlogging, or social media, is taking the time to plan your strategy. By focusing on a
single objective you’re far more likely to achieve it. Once you get a good rhythm going in your
social media plan and your core goal is being effectively met, you can focus on another one and
give that your full attention. If you try to do everything all at once, or be everything to everyone,
you will end up with an incoherent message that isn’t nearly as powerful or effective as it could
have been.

Batching: you have a good social media management plan in place, you will know exactly what
you need to create for your social schedule over the coming weeks, or even months. That means
that, rather than sitting down once a week and trying to figure out what needs writing or
designing, you already know and can get cracking right away. I’ve discussed the efficacy
of batching your content creation. Whether you’re blogging, Tweeting, vlogging, or posting to
Instagram, there are a lot of benefits to creating a large amount of content in one go.
Scheduling: When it comes to social media one of the biggest mistakes you can make is to fail to
schedule things in advance. The second biggest mistake is to schedule the wrong kind of posts, or
using the wrong tool. I’ve already written a detailed post on How to Schedule Your Content like a
Boss, so be sure to check that out.

Growth: A lot of people obsess over the number of followers they have on social media,
but followers aren’t truly the best indication of growth on your social platforms. Precisely
which growth markers you use to measure how your following is developing will depend on
several factors:

 Your type of product (services, products, etc.)

 The platform you are on
 Your objectives
 The type of conversions you are trying to achieve

Engagement, Impressions & Reach: Everything you do on social media is building to one thing:
conversions. Conversions are the name of the social game. Whether you’re converting new
people into followers, followers into subscribers, subscribers into paying clients, or existing
clients into repeat business, social media is all about the conversions. Just as it’s less important to
have a lot of followers than it is to have high engagement, it’s far more important to have a high
conversion rate than it is to have any number of followers, impressions, or reach. The difference
is, while the number of followers you have can have very little impact on your bottom line, the
better your engagement and reach is, the more chance you have of converting people.
Understanding your conversion rates on social media is crucial you can’t know how successful
your marketing efforts are until you do. Your engagement, reach, and the number of impressions
you receive are part and parcel of measuring your growth. But they are also vital to the overall
success of your social media marketing.
