Stolle Cupping Systems Connecting

Quality can bodies begin with quality cups, and Stolle cupping
systems produce the highest quality cups with maximum
speed, reliability and material efficiency. Stolle can design and
build systems that produce cups for 2-piece beverage cans from
aluminum or steel coil, or draw-redraw food cans from steel or
aluminum, coil or sheet. For high volume can plants, the Stolle
DynaForm cupper is capable of speeds of 300 SPM or higher. The
165-ton high speed press features the latest technologies for ram
guidance and operating cost savings. The 150-ton Stolle Triton
cupper is the most widely used and trusted cupping system in can
plants around the world. Stolle cupping systems include many
features that help reduce the cost of ownership, including:

• The DynaForm press features a combination hydrostatic and

hydrodynamic ram guidance system that provides maximum slide
guiding stiffness to help extend tooling life
• Ram quick-lift feature for easy tooling access on the DynaForm
cupper
• Air cup conveying efficiently moves cups with no moving parts
• Fixed or swing-away feed configurations:
– Servo feed on DynaForm Cupper Above: High speed DynaForm
cupping system features
– Servo or mechanical feed on Triton Cupper the latest cost-saving press
• Sheet feed configuration available for either system technology
• Options include: Left: Stolle Triton 150-ton
cupper – a trusted workhorse
– Cup marking dies for lane ID of the canmaking industry
– Contour (non-round) cupping dies to maximize material usage
– Magnetic die clamping system for quicker die set changes
– Energy-saving low pressure / high volume air system

Stolle cupping dies are designed for quick removal from the press
to minimize downtime when converting to other can sizes, and the
tools for each station can be replaced without removing the die
set for easier maintenance. In addition to new cupping systems,
Stolle is an excellent source for new and rebuilt cupping die sets
for existing cuppers, as well as complete cupping system rebuilds
and upgrades. Our highest quality OEM cupping tooling and
components are produced by our own machining centers, several
of which are equipped with specialized SIP machining centers for
ultra-precise work on die shoes and other large components.
