1) An abandon ship and rescue boat drill was conducted on the MT Elise from 0800-0830 LT on December 8, 2018. 2) The drill took 1 minute and 40 seconds from the alarm sounding until all crew reached their muster stations. 3) The drill was evaluated as satisfactory, with all crew demonstrating familiarity in preparing life rafts and rescue boats for launching and embarking safely.

Brief Details of Drill or Exercise


SIMULATION
0800Hrs: The master sounds alarm signal of abandon ship; all crew wear the life jacket then
proceed to muster station and standing by for further instruction. Chief officer head count the
crew. All crew present. Master informed. Master also report to the coast station and any other
ship station regarding ship in danger situation.
0802Hrs : All crew standing by at muster station; chief officer instruct the crew how to prepare
the life rafts &Rescue boat for launching as per their own job then embark into the rescue boat
properly. How to Wear the immersion suit in below 16 C below water temperature.
0807.Hrs : Clear all lashing According to the master instructions lowering to rescue boat in the
water & pick up main deck.
0815 Hrs : lowered the rescue boat and engine tried out and explain how to start the rescue
boat engine
0825Hrs : The rescue boat is hanging aside of ship and secured by fwd/aft painter standing by
for embarkation of crew. Chief officer brief to all crew regarding embarkation properly and
abandon ship should be done if any instruction by master verbally.
0830 Hrs: Pull up the rescue boat then secures everything. Drill completed ordered by.

Improvements required (Attach correspondence, check-lists, purchase requisitions, etc if applicable)

All crew are familiar regarding the above drill, means if emergency situation especially
preparation for abandon ship, all crew know well how to prepare the rescue boat, Life raft
for launching then embark properly.
