Lesson Five: Pure Thirst

Matthew 5:6, 8 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled... Blessed are the pure in heart, for
they will see God."
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to...
1. Identify how one remains pure and righteous.
2. Provide proof of thirst for righteousness for each principle.
3. Identify action steps in order to honor God at all times.
Personal Preparation:

Opening Activity
Facilitate the pairing off of the students and then lead the class in sharing their various answers.

Consult God's Compass

Stay away from evil.


Develop an early warning device.
Make yourself accountable.
Commit to do right even if hurts.
Develop an appetite for righteousness.
Honor God at all times.

Allow students to answer Pause and Reflect: A of their IN STEP JOURNALS. Then, let the SteppingStoneSets evaluate the action
plans that their groupmates have written down in Individual Introspection.

However, it has exposed the need for change in that province to the whole nation and has heightened awareness and vigilance
against corruption there.

Let the students discuss the pointers here in their SteppingStoneSets and formulate concrete game plans to put all that they have
learned into action every day.
Each SteppingStoneSet member should memorize then recite out loud Matthew 5:6, 8 to his or her set.
Conclude by playing background inspirational music and
